Movies: Ones I can watch repeatedly include The Thin Man, Revenge
of the Nerds, Wet Hot American Summer, The Apartment, Ghost World,
Trading Places, Anchorman, The Bicycle Thief, Cave of Forgotten
Dreams (I'm a sucker for 3D), In general I like Smart stuff, Funny
stuff, Italian stuff, Other stuff.
Shows: The Wire, Breaking Bad, Wonder Showzen, Mr. Show, The Mighty
Boosh, Archer, Peep Show, NOW, Frontline, Bill Moyers, America's
Test Kitchen, Soul Train, Ren & Stimpy, This Old House,
PeeWee's Playhouse, Deadwood. Guilty pleasures: Trainwreck TV gets
to me...Honey Boo Boo Child the latest, Hardcore Pawn, Steve Wilkos
if I'm randomly home in the middle of the day can capture my
attention and helps me slide right into the occasional Maury.
Music: Steely Dan, Parliament, Bootsy, Hall and Oates, Hugh
Masekela, James Brown, Serge Gainsbourg, The Police, Miles Davis,
Herb Alpert, De La Soul, Die Antwoord, Theophilus London and other
new stuff that will strike my fancy, but I love my classic vinyl
and funk. I like coachella, but i really love Jazzfest in NO.
Art: Judd, Sargent, Schiele, Rothko, Matisse, and on.
Why don't they ask about Radio? I wind up listening to more KPCC,
than KCRW, but love both. If you are an NPR buff we can get
Or Sports for that matter...I don't park it on a couch every Sunday
but i don't mind it either with good company, and at the stadium is
even better. If i had to choose a sporting event to attend it would
be a tough call between a tennis tournament and a hockey game.
