My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've recently come to the conclusion that it doesn't really matter what you like, but instead what you are like. It's awesome if we have common interests, but I'm much more interested in people who are kind, genuine, honest, open, easy-going, communicative, intelligent, insightful, unique, unrepressed, fun, looking for adventure and who don't take things very seriously. Life is a lovely thing and it excites me daily, I want somebody to share in that excitement.

I enjoy reading and discussing what I read. I like talking loud, and arguing about pop culture. It is my personal belief that Batman, given a week to prepare, could defeat any fictional (or for that matter non-fictional) character ever to exist. I am a people person, and enjoy being put in situations where I get to meet new people. Adventure, excitement; a jedi craves not these things; but I guess I'm not a very good jedi. That being said, I do enjoy the quieter moments in life a great deal. If anything I am malleable. I once ran over an alligator with a row-boat.

Here are two quotes that I happen to agree with. Hopefully they will make me seem smart and well read.

"Some people never go crazy.
what truly horrible lives
they must lead."
Charles Bukowski

"Kindness' covers all of my political beliefs. No need to spell them out. I believe that if, at the end, according to our abilities, we have done something to make others a little happier, and something to make ourselves a little happier, that is about the best we can do. To make others less happy is a crime. To make ourselves unhappy is where all crime starts. We must try to contribute joy to the world. That is true no matter what our problems, our health, our circumstances. We must try. I didn't always know this and am happy I lived long enough to find it out." Roger Ebert
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Teaching. It is super super awesome and I wouldn't want to do anything different with my life.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Face acting. Walking up stairs, but not down. Driving badly. Staying awake longer than anybody I'm in the same room with. Shoehorning star wars metaphors into conversations. Making seemingly awkward or embarrassing situations socially acceptable.
The first things people usually notice about me

My tail, that may be partly my fault though cause I climb a lot of trees.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I am a huge movie, book, and music nerd, and I very firmly believe this:
"Taste is something rich people have, whether rich with money or knowledge. It's irrelevant. It's not anything real. You can go get good taste. Hang out at record stores. It's not an accomplishment. But finding out what really moved you, in spite of taste, is." James Murphy

Some favorite bands: The replacements, The Pixies, Primus, Motorhead, Wilco, Curtis Mayfield, The Stooges, The Melvins, Pavement, Deerhunter, John Lee Hooker, Tom Waits, Frank Zappa, Skip James, Funkadelic, Prince, The Velvet Underground, Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones (who are better than the beatles in case you were wondering where I stand on that debate.). Probably my default mode is garage rock/dirty punk (With the stooges being the best example of these things.) followed closely by funk/soul.

Some movies I love: Chinatown, The Royal Tennebaums, Star Wars, Indiana Jones (As an aside I think that if aliens came down to earth and asked "What is this "fun" you speak of?" I would give them a case of beer, a Kiss CD and an Indiana Jones movie.) Enter The Dragon, Punch Drunk Love, Sullivans Travels, Chunking Express, Kill Bill, Almost Famous, Evil Dead, Purple Rain, and Tree of Life

Some favorite books: Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, 1984 by George Orwell, Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, Anna Karenina by Leo Toltstoy, On the Road by Jack Keorouac, Paradise by Toni Morrison and The Lord of The Rings Trilogy (Everything about those books are amazing, the writing, the story, the characters I love LOTR, but not the fucking movies.) I dabble in sci-fi. I also LOVE Poetry, my all time favorite is Anne Sexton closely followed by Dorothy Parker, Robert Frost, Charles Bukowski, and Allen Ginsberg.

Favorite Comics: The Watchmen by Alan Moore, Y the Last Man by Brian K. Vaughn, Bone by Jeff Smith, Zot by Scott McCloud, Scott Pilgrim by Brian O'Malley, Maus by Art Spiegelman, Kingdom Come by Mark Waid, Habibi by Craig Thompson, The sculptor by Scott McCloud, All star superman by Grant Morrison (I love that crazy s.o.b.) The Dark Night Returns and The Dark Night Strikes Again by Frank Miller (I might be a Frank Miller apologist.) The monthly books I'm currently getting: Batgirl, Saga, Invincible, silver surfer, New Avengers, Ms. Marvel, The Unbeatable Squirell Girl, sex criminals (this book is way less pervy then it sounds, ask me about it, it's awesome!), Thor, Daredevil, Action Comics, I hate fairyland and the fade out.

I think that Superman is probably the greatest fictional character ever invented. He inspires me to be a better person, and I try to live up to his ideals. (WHOA! It got real nerdy up in here!)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Reading
2. Music
3. fun
4. Bad dancing
5. comics
6. swimming in vats of jello
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My grammar, since every girl on here seems to be a grammar Nazi and I'm terrified that a comma splice or split infinitive will cause me to miss out on my ideal match. (This might also have been a sneaky way to show off my grammar knowledge like a peacock spreading his tail.)

Everytime I go to the gym I get a locker (mainly because I don't like changing in public places, generally that's frowned upon.) and each time I get a locker they ask me in what section would I like it. Being the chill guy I am, I never care so I always just let them put me wherever. However I am never satisfied with answering "Just put me anywhere." So I spend ungodly amounts of time trying to think of a witty response, that will most likely go unappreciated by the old ladies at the front desk.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Trying to find a way to fend off herds of angry chimps before they rip my face off.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a really funny story that involves prince, and an almost burned down house. It's a much better story if I tell it in person so I think you'll have to meet me first.

You are a clone of Elaine Bennis (scratch that, Leslie Knope)

If you LOVE adventure time!

I really like Milwaukee a lot and plan to stay here indefinitely, if you are someone that desires to leave this city I don't really think this will work out. I only post this because I notice that a lot of profiles are filled with peoples plans to move within a year or two.

I recently was a proud recipient of a 50 dollar gift certificate to the Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhous, Bahama Breeze, and Seasons 52 restaurant chain. So if you are a gal that is a fan of classy dining feel free to message me. I might even wear a suit.
