My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Laid-back, witty, spontaneous, open-minded, Jamaican (no, I don't say "hey mon," yes I do love Cool Runnings despite the horrible accents in the movie). I have a large, diverse group of friends, so I’m comfortable in almost any type of situation.

I enjoy intelligent conversation, banter, and dry humor. More often than not, I quote a song, movie, or comedian to make my point and I firmly believe sentences are sometimes improved with just the right explicative. My vices include a strong margarita, binge watching funny shows and staying up way too late reading (currently World War Z).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a professional counselor who works with kids and their families, and I love being able to help my clients. Working with kids has taught me to enjoy life as much as possible, as well as that laughing at myself is generally the best way to respond when I inevitably do something awkward. I also love music, so being an (amateur) DJ on the side gives me an outlet to express myself.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I fail to censor myself sometimes, but have noticed that this usually leads to the best conversations. Due to my job experience, I am great at putting people at ease…especially when this involves making jokes to lighten to mood. My love of music enables me to identify songs/artists (even the obscure ones) and set the right mood for house parties. I’m also quite adept at getting lost, so hopefully you’re good with directions.
The first things people usually notice about me

The fact that I'm usually smiling. My tiny ears come next.

Music – Depending on my mood, I go from Billie Holiday, Nina Simone and Frank Sinatra to Celia Cruz to The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and NIN. Caribbean music obviously, which provides energy unlike anything else you can find. I really could go on for a long time about this.

TV – 24, How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family, The Daily Show, Happy Endings, True Blood, The Wire, Game of Thrones

Movies – The 40 Yr Old Virgin, Die Hard, Say Anything, The Apartment.

Books- Harry Potter, GoT, On Love by Alain DeBotton, Pride And Prejudice. I've recently started reading The Walking Dead graphic novels, and it's amazing.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
People: Family/Friends
Fake mustaches (you'll have to ask me why)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I can help others transform their lives and become empowered, self-assured, balanced, and fulfilled.

What to do with my weekends.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Relaxing and planning what trouble I'm getting myself into on Saturday. Fridays are underrated though.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been to a Britney Spears concert, and enjoyed every minute of it. It was a random offer from a friend, and it was free.

You're witty, intellectual, unafraid of laughing at yourself, enjoy dancing or making attempts to do so, and would like to explore the city in all its glory. Looking forward to getting to know you.
