My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
New Zealand born, South Jersey raised, Philly cultivated.
Coming here, I think I might be the opposite of a New Yorker...

Open for new friends, partners, bizarre science experiments, and forbidden love affairs. Really lookin' for that nice eccentric ex-celebrity sugar mama connection, na mean? (I know you're out there...)

I consider myself ambitious and highly driven (the similarities to NYers end there, I swear). Going all-in on big risks or challenges and leaving my comfort zone keeps me alive.

Clever, dark, and dirty humor are the best. I love big dogs; cats, not so much. I love conversation and learning about people. Cold climates are the worst. (But snowboarding/skiing are pretty cool. Walking contradiction.)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Welp, I just uprooted my whole life from Philly (income included) to move to NYC for an unpaid internship to grow. I'm here for at least the next few months, but after that, who knows? No fear. Chasing what matters.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding dogs' irresistible 'itchy twitchy kicky spot'.

Pie-eating contests.

Turning clapping and shouting into something presentable. I've been complimented by strangers on whistling.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
In this town? Hell, probably something like, "Deeemn, dis mf'r walk too damn slow."
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
MUSIC: Super open-minded - I just love MUSIC in general!

Progressive metal (Dream Theater, Symphony X), prog-rock (Spock's Beard, Rush), 80s 90s and 00s vocal pop (Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera), praise/gospel, pop punk (Blink 182, Green Day, Sum41, Avril) lil bit o' country rock (Chris Cagle, Jason Aldean, Craig Morgan), 80s/90s hip hop (Dre, Diddy, Jurassic 5) and tons of stuff in between.

Recent Honorable Mentions: Extreme, Eminem, Incubus, Van Halen

"I just can't wait to be king" and "I'll make a man out of you" are my favorite Disney songs to sing haha.

MOVIE: Forrest Gump is my favorite emotional rollercoaster.
Star Wars is awesome.
But honestly, movies are too long and manipulative for me haha. I don't like having my emotions toyed with! And I never think funny movies are funny. I'd rather see comedians. Maybe I'm broken.

TV: I'm a total TV recluse. Ditching my TV years ago was one of the best things I've ever done. Like, in life. So, no shame.

I did love Da Ali G Show though...

Book faves are all non-fiction basically. Learny, thinky, make-myself-and-those-around-me-masters-of-the-universe type stuff.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Strength. Health. Physical ability. Breathing heavy. Heavy shit.

Music. Instruments. Whistling. Vocal cords. That synchronous vibration of a massive major chord played in a big church chorus or pipe organ.

Gratitude. Positive energy. Big ideas. Destinations.

Play. I legit love swings. There's nothing like a swing to make you remember what's important in life. Boomerangs are pretty cool too.

Dynamic nature. Sunny skies (one too many cloudy days is depressing).

And right now...my slow cooker. I didn't have working gas in my apt for like 3 weeks, but my slow cooker saved me. Goddamn I love that thing. That beef stew though...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why people in New York usually look so miserable or angry.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Falling asleep studying.
