My self-summary
Skeptical of this whole growing up thing.

I don't believe in following the beaten path or the one imposed by another entity. I ask questions, I think, I challenge, and I change.

I regularly find peace behind a musical instrument, under a heavy weight, behind a blank sheet of paper with a cup of tea, or opening up and really connecting with someone.

I believe all people are inherently good, and when they lower their walls, they're also pretty interesting.

INFJ for those savvy psych senoritas out there.
What I’m doing with my life
I help people find and become their best selves: I'm a fitness and nutrition coach.

I keep a blog, am working towards some presenting and lecturing, and through it all, I aim to positively influence as many people as I can.

Current new developments: Real Estate license under construction and my first martial arts experience.
I’m really good at
Turning clapping and shouting into something presentable. I've been complimented by strangers on whistling.

Seamlessly fitting hours of audiobook and podcast-listening into a single day.
The first things people usually notice about me
I think a lot (a LOT).

Depending on the time and season, I might also be hiding my skin from the death rays of that solar nuisance in the sky.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
MUSIC: Super open-minded - I just love music in general! No, I don't hate country.

I may or may not love singing Disney songs.

MOVIE: Forrest Gump is my favorite emotional rollercoaster.
Star Wars is awesome. And VII was amazing. IMAX is the realest.

TV: Happy to say I no longer own a tv or a netflix subscription.

BOOKS: Best book I read this year was The Brain That Changes Itself.
Recent reads: Stumbling on Happiness, The E-Myth.

FOOD: If I didn't make it, it's probably not as good as it could've been. But traditional Mexican, Indian, and Asian cuisines get the gobbles.
The six things I could never do without
Musical instruments.

A strong healthy body.

A good chef's knife. Psh maaan, you ever try to cut fruits, meats, and veggies with a dull knife? You'd be better off with a hammer.

The internet and its infinite wisdom.

My bike. Walking is for the birds.

That feeling of flying / falling / going really fast with wind in your face. Remember what it means to be alive. And a little bit scared. Like every day when you were a kid. That's when you developed the most and had the most fun. There's wisdom in that somewhere.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Physical preparation, different lifestyles and cultures, novel experiences, the brain, neuroplasticity, psychology, consciousness, the human body.

People who truly just don't want to ever have kids. By definition, they don't visualize themselves as old 60-80+ year olds called "grampa" or "gramma," but just older versions of their current selves? That's strange to me.
On a typical Friday night I am
Sometimes social play, sometimes intellectual indulgence; whatever brings me the most stimulation.
You should message me if
You want to gush over episode VII.

You're fun and looking to experience some more of what life has to offer. (Let's go to f'n SkyZone.)
