I'm a 28 year-old graduate student, born and raised in western Pennsylvania. I've been living in Boston for about three years now and I've loved every minute of it.

It's now been about two years since I came out and I'm so happy that I did. I'm very lucky to have amazingly supportive friends and family that has made this process much easier than I ever thought possible. Now that I'm finally comfortable with myself, I'm looking for a man with whom to share my life and someday start a family.

Right now I'm looking for dates with intelligent, caring guys who are motivated and ambitious and see how things go from there. I don't want to rush into a relationship; I just want to find the right guy. Let me know if you're interested. I would love to hear from you!

I graduate with my undergraduate degree in 2007. I took a year off and studied abroad in New Zealand. I loved the experience and travelled all around the south Pacific: Australia, Niue, New Caledonia, Tonga, and the Cook Islands. Now I'm in graduate school, working on my PhD in chemistry. One day I hope to become a research professor at a top university and do cool and innovative chemistry.

I've been told that it's my smile.

I enjoy reading "classic" literature. Some of my favorites include: Brave New World, 1984, The Crucible, Catcher in the Rye, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Stranger, and Faust.

Although I don't watch that much TV (I just ususally watch it online instead) I enjoy Community, 30 Rock, The Office, Family Guy, American Dad, The Venture Brothers, South Park, Psych, Burn Notice, and Arrested Development. I also like watching cooking shows on the Food Network and the Cooking Channel.

While The Rocky Horror Picture Show is my favorite movie of all time (I know all the lines and sing along), I enjoy Saved, The Others, The South Park Movie, The Bourne Trilogy, Sherlock Holmes, and Donnie Darko, just to name a few.

Typically, I listen to indie and alternative rock (Arcade Fire, Tegan and Sara, Fleet Foxes, Sigur Ros, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, My Chemical Romance, Smashing Pumpkins, etc.). However, I have diverse musical tastes that include hip-hop/soul (Erykah Badu, Angie Stone, Jill Scott, Les Nubians), Top 40/pop (Lady Gaga, Katy Perry), and some rap (Missy Elliot, The Fugees, Outkast). I also love classic 80's and 90's music.

When it comes to food, I'm not picky. I like all types of food, especially Italian, Indian, and Asian cuisines. I enjoy cooking, but unfortunately don't have as much time to cook as I would like.

I can live without material objects but could not be without one of my senses. That said, I'm using this section to share what I like and what's important to me.

I often think about where the future is going to take me and how I can make a difference in the world. I hope that I have a career that makes a difference in the world: solving the world's problems through chemistry and inspiring a new generation of scientists. I also wonder if I'll ever find the man of my dreams.

My Fridays range from going out with friends grabbing dinner and a drink to staying in and having a quiet night at home.

I'm terrified of snakes and I hate ketchup.
