My self-summary
Because you never know when you'll need someone with an extensive knowledge of psychotropic drugs, both legal and recreational...(I'm a psychopharmacologist. No, really).

I'm a very open, expressive person. This means that you'll never get 'Oh, nothing' in response to the question 'What's bothering you?' If you take me out for dinner I will not order 'just a salad' and sit picking at it. I am named after an obscure 60's actress. I own an original production cell of Marge and her sisters dressed as witches in the 'Easy Bake Coven' Treehouse of Horrors episode. I have a membership at the Bloor Cinema.

My work is extremely important to me, but I try (with varying levels of success) to have a balanced life. My last big vacation was a trip to Munich for Oktoberfest. My hometown really is Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Finally, I've never been known for subtlety nor brevity, so there's never a dull moment.
What I’m doing with my life
After nearly 20 years working in mental health and addictions I am taking a 'break' of sorts to work in education. I'm also working on my MEd. I'm here because I'm looking to spend a bit more time on my personal life than I have in recent years.
I’m really good at
public speaking and talking to the media. I was a spokesperson for the psych hospital I worked at until recently, and have been on national tv a dozen times. My youtube channel has over 350,000 hits, mostly due to an interview I did about substance abuse.
The first things people usually notice about me
My red hair thanks to my expert colourist.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music: Elvis Costello, Neil Finn, Crowded House, Mark Seymour, Split Enz, Squeeze, PJ Harvey, Patti Smith, Neko Case, Charlie Sexton, NLX, Sade, The Beauties, The Pogues, Kirsty MacColl, Aimee Mann, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Blue Rodeo, Bryan Ferry, Chris Isaak, David Poe, Duncan Sheik, Eartha Kitt, Gowan, Ivana Santilli, John Denver, Lindy, Liz Phair, Matthew Good, The Mocking Bird, Prince, Reid Jamieson, Rhonda Stakich, Ron Sexsmith, Kurt Swinghammer, Arlene Bishop, Serena Ryder, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Kate Bush, Hawksley Workman, Tom Jones, Carole Pope, Stevie Nicks, The Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen, Bonnie Raitt, Concrete Blonde.

Movies: Sid and Nancy, Grosse Point Blank, Bull Durham, Metropolis, So I Married An Axe Murderer.

Books: Unfortunately I read too much for work and school to read enough recreationally, but I'm trying to change that. Favorite work book is Stephen Stahl's Essential Psychopharmacology. Just finished reading Just Kids, Patti Smith's autobiography. Loved it and I can't wait to go back to NYC. Currently reading When The Body Says No by Gabor Mate, a brilliant physician on Vancouver's Lower East Side.

TV: Sadly too much to chronicle here! How I Met Your Mother, Mad Men, True Blood. Rarely miss watching The Daily Show and Colbert Report. Don't like so-called reality tv.
The six things I could never do without
Friends
The interwebs
The music of Neil Finn
The Daily Show
Wine, men and song
A good underwire bra (Gravity, she is a cruel mistress)
On a typical Friday night I am
Ideally on a patio with friends and a good craft beer.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
The soundtrack to the Buffy musical "Once More With Feeling" is one of my favourite albums...
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 35–50
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You can respect, though not necessarily agree with, my deep passion for the CFL and my Winnipeg Blue Bombers. You know the difference between an ale and a lager. You are willing to finance my graduate degree (just kidding - maybe). Last, but definitely not least, music must play an important role in your life. You should be interested in finding out about my eclectic musical tastes and sharing yours with me.

Please only message me if you have an actual message, not just a generic "I like your profile". Thxkbai.
