My self-summary
Greetings

You might think of me as a typical “Sabra” (term used to describe native-born Israeli), a prickly cactus desert plant that conceals a mouthwatering core - rough on the outside but delicate and sweet on the inside. Born to an Italian mother and a Greek father, I traveled extensively in Europe with prolonged stays in France and Belgium, lived in L.A and San Francisco and finally settled in beautiful Marin County. I am blessed with 2 intelligent and caring daughters ages 19 and 22, enjoy the company of a cheerful black lab, keep myself fit (cycling, hiking and the gym), and eat healthy food. Volunteering is an essential and exciting part of my life, giving me immense satisfaction and a sense of self worth. My profession is exciting and provides opportunity for independence, people interaction, problem solving and value creation.

You would have my undivided attention and enthusiastic devotion if you possess a cheerful disposition and down-to-earth attitude, feel comfortable with a pair of jeans, little makeup and a ponytail., you prefer Point Rays to the French Riviera and Tahoe to Lake Genève, favor hearty comfort food from a local family restaurant over the likes of Chez Panisse or the French Laundry (great for special occasions), and would rather enjoy quiet, quality and romantic intimacy, rather than roaming the bars, discos and wild parties. There will be of course special times for wearing an elegant evening dress and pearl earrings (comfortable high-hill shoes?), elegant dining, classical concerts and the opera, museums and benefit galas.

We will be dedicated to supporting, protecting and cheering each other, and maintain our trust and devotion in good and bad time.

I value strait-talk and common sense, enjoy dry/smart sense of humor, cherish trust, loyalty and accountability, treasure a warm smile and have the propensity for tender hugging and cuddling. For me, chemistry has more to do with character rather than just great looks, and I try to keep an open mind while being attentive to my intuition. I enjoy thought provoking conversations, watching foreign and old movies, political and legal dramas, documentaries, Saturday night live (sometimes) and Larry David and Woody Allen.

Being fully aware that my “separated” status might give rise a concern (is he really available or just looking for a stepping stone?), I can categorically attest to being emotionally available to embark on the long proceeds of creating an enduring long term relationship (don't just trust my words, let’s meet and you would find out for yourself).

Please respect my preference of limiting the search to Marin and nearby areas of San Francisco (not snobbery, but pure pragmatism).

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile posting
What I’m doing with my life
I am blessed with 2 precious college daughters that will forever remain the love of my life. After so many years of being entirely focused on the important and satisfying task of raising my kids and providing for the well being of my family, I have a unique opportunity to rediscover what really makes me happy and content, and I am looking forward with anticipation and excitement to the prospect of falling in love again.
I’m really good at
Creative thinking out of the box and finding alternative solutions to seemingly unsolvable problems, working and creating with my hands, being a good loyal friend, speaking up my mind clearly and honestly. Cherish the act of giving (still practicing the art of gratefully receiving)
The first things people usually notice about me
Welcoming smile and an embracing hug.
Straight and to the point accentuated communication.
Feel at ease meeting with strangers.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Prefer informative books: health, personal growth, science, history, foreign cultures and human behavior. Not big on novels and would rather observe, interact, contemplate and learn from real life experiences. Read: WSJ, NY Times and the New Yorker
Netflix aficionado: documentaries (The Unforeseen), foreign movies (Jean de Florette with Gérard Depardieu), thrillers (The French Connection), classics (the African Queen) and Oldies (Lady for a Day - Frank Capra)
Netflix aficionado: documentaries (The Unforeseen), foreign movies (Jean de Florette with Gérard Depardieu), thrillers (The French Connection), classics (the African Queen) and Oldies (Lady for a Day - Frank Capra)
Classical, opera and Jazz are my only operative radio stations.
The six things I could never do without
Trust, loyalty, accountability, cheerful disposition and good old common sense.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Exciting anticipation for the first rendezvous, easy conversation, smile and laughter, the spark, the feeling of togetherness, the courting, falling in love, building the relationship and once again being able to wish in a loved one a good night sleep in the bedroom that we share.
On a typical Friday night I am
When single: Movie, theater, dinner with friends
In relationship: places and activities that create a feeling of togetherness and intimacy (Dinner at home is by far my favorite) .
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Tendency for allowing excitement and eagerness get the best of me when slowing down is the best way for moving foreword.

I rather say: Making you happy is what makes me happy.
