I am goal oriented, idealistic, and passionate.
My Self-Summary
My name is Michael, but everyone typically calls me Mike. I
originally grew up in the Chicago area and moved out here to the
east coast in pursuit of my career. I'm a practical and honest man
with a drive to better myself. I'm also an idealist in possession
of unfathomable idealistic belief in love, I'm a hopeless romantic.
I'm very laid back and a bit of a caregiver. I have a sense of
humor that is at times comical, I enjoy making people laugh. I'm
hoping of meeting some good hearted and like minded individuals
with whom friendship can be formed.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm pursuing my career in the Pharmaceutical Industry. And trying
to find that one and only kindred spirit to enjoy life with outside
of work. I still believe in soul mates so shoot me.
I’m really good at
Problem solving, Improvising in the Kitchen, grilling BBQ, making
wine, staying up all night clubbing, falling down while trying to
ice skate, making Cappuccinos when I have a working machine, making
mixed drinks, making a 6 egg omelet that lasts 2 days, making the
best Lemonade you've ever had, experimenting with new recipes,
staying true to my word, being passionate about the things I like,
living life with my heart.
I like to dance as well....but I don't think I qualify at being
"really" good.
The first things people usually notice about me
My energy and my curly hair. Fortunately, they don't make fun of my
do anymore, years 1-15 were real hard. :)
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
favorite books: my engineering books
favorite movies: Are the ones that tell a good story, I love "Plot"
and twists.....and good visual cinematography and well developed
characters. This includes Braveheart, Gladiator, Conan the
Barbarian, Dragon Slayer, Kingdom of Heaven, ok so I have a thing
for movies depicting the old old old times. I also enjoy gothic
horror like Bram Stoker's Dracula, 30 Days of Night, and Underworld
Trilogy.
Favorite music: I have the biggest addiction for a variety of
electronic music styles like trance, vocal trance, progressive,
house, dance, dark wave, electro house, techno, etc. If you don't
know these, I won't hold it against you. I have a pair of
turntables with a mixer back home which I'm seriously thinking of
bringing over to this location.
Otherwise I listen to music across a large genre spectrum from
hip-hop, and alternative rock, to classical music. Except country,
I can't stand country.
favorite food: grilled meat, BBQ, spicy foods, cheese...also
Italian, Spanish, Mexican, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Middle
Eastern, Indian, Caribbean, and Cajun cooking. Did I say spicy
food. I'm adventurous when it comes to trying new things, this also
includes trying making new recipes. If you like spending time in
the kitchen with some wine and good company trying to perfect some
recipe, I'm your man.
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order
1) love
2) family/friends
3) music
4) red meat
5) cheese
6) freedom
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend a lot of time thinking about my work and how to solve
problems, the future and whether I should start a business or
settle down instead and get a house. I'm a bit of a tinkerer and
scientist so I'm constantly thinking of the projects I want to do
like making a new batch of wine or building my own voltage
multiplier, yet being daunted by the fact that my apartment isn't
the best place for doing some of my projects. I'm not a gearhead
though, I'm not into cars...they're a great tool and they get me
places but I don't see the point of putting in a 5000 watt sound
system or supped up cooling system. I'm far more interested in
chemistry, medicine, and material science. I dream about curing the
world, feeding the world, tackling the energy crisis that we are
entering. I'm passionate about my aspirations, about living a good
life, being there for someone else like a soul mate.
On a typical Friday night I am
Celebrating the weekend, watching a dvd, or cooking....it's like
meditation to me.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I hate talking to answering machines...I just can't stand it...it
doesn't matter whether its a cell phone's voicemail or one of those
tape recording machines...it makes me feel uncomfortable...I get
message anxiety and have to rerecord the message cause halfway
through I loose my chain of thought. How's that for private.
You should message me if
Message me if you are a kind, sweet, and HONEST woman looking for
someone with whom to enjoy life.
