I'm a doer, perhaps to a fault - I've been very project-oriented and hyper, but learning to chill now and seek a different rhythm and fulfill older dreams. Fairly stable, homewise and jobwise and careerwise.
I travel a lot as an activist (anti-capitalist / environmental); most exciting recent trip was to Greenland.
I jump at opportunities, but haven't always looked before I leapt.
Affectionate but (perhaps overly) protective of my independence. I'm starting to like the word "polyamory."
What I’m doing with my life
Embarking on the next phase of it. Figuring out radical politics, economic justice, and how to write convoluted sentences on dating sites. Writing in general. Sailing as much as I can.
I’m really good at
Anything active, mischievous, risky. Not so good at sitting still - but getting better.
The first things people usually notice about me
Open smile. Next, how misleading it is. Next, maybe not so
misleading after all.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Abbie Hoffman, vindaloo, entrails, Sapiens, 1491, new music, Leonard Cohen, punk, any good theater, anything spicy or weird (except, as of November, meat), serious/disturbing comedies, and... 5000 other items?
The six things I could never do without
Something to fix.
Something to learn.
A major project.
Hope for a happy communal life.
Polyamory (I think).
An ability to ignore instructions in filling out forms and anything else.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Community, commune, even communism. Fighting for social justice in creative ways. Sitting down. Change.
On a typical Friday night I am
Seeing friends, clinking glasses with strangers, running around, or
working at home and wondering why I'm happy not to be out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Oh, I'll admit pretty much anything, even if it's not true.
You should message me if
You're left-wing, care about something, want to change the world in
some kind of way and have at least a harebrained plan for doing it.
