Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451, 1984, To Kill a Mockingbird,
Native Son, Black Boy, War and Peace, A Clockwork Orange books
about behavioral economics, books about ethics.
Movies: I like Wes Anderson films, specifically The Royal
Tenenbaums, I Heart Huckabees, and The Darjeeling Limited, I also
like films written by Charlie Kaufman like Synecdoche, New York,
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Adaptation among others.
I like anything with Natalie Portman in it. Beyond these
categories: (500) Days of Summer, Inception, Fight Club, Crash, and
I don't watch television really but there are some shows I watch on
Netflix or Hulu: House, The Office, Bones, The IT Crowd, Dexter,
Trailer Park Boys, and Dr. Who?
I like most music, my deepest roots being in Hip-Hop/Rap but beyond
that I really like Folk music and Bluegrass stuff. To me, the most
important part of music is the lyrics. I mostly listen for the
poetry, but of course the melodic portion of the song is relevant
as well. Some of my favorite artists are: Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West,
Talib Kweli, Nas, Jay-Z, 2pac, Public Enemy, NWA, Atmosphere,
Common, Brother Ali, Childish Gambino, Freeway, Meek Mill, Joey
Bada$$, Kendrick Lamar, Black Hippy, Pro Era, Bright Eyes, Regina
Spektor, Eliza Doolittle, Kate Nash, Trampled by Turtles, Jack
Johnson, Josh Ritter, Cloud Cult, Mumford and Sons, Iron and Wine,
