I'm originally from Texas went to high school in southern NH, lived in Denver, went to culinary school in Vermont, moved back to NH, and now I've escaped to SATX for a completely fluid amount of time.

I enjoy reading, being in front of and behind a movie camera, behind a film camera, and in the audience at most any kind of live performance. Knowing people are putting emotion into their forms of expression is probably the second most important thing to me behind supporting and loving the people I’m close to.

Currently, I'm learning what it means to be free while luckily being employed full time. I'm still planning on working toward using food and art/media to make people smile/laugh/cry/think/fight/scream/punch me in the face whilst orgasming.

I've been told I'm really good at jumping from topic to topic in conversation at the speed of light. I'm really good at making people smile, completely useless pieces of information that contribute in no way to the conversation we're having, and shmoozing. I shmooze like it's my job. Mostly because, when you have Jewish relatives, it's a requirement. Oh, and "air" instruments. Although I've noticed while in real life I play bass and a really poor harmonica, I always go for the air drums.

My hat or the fact that I'm a hispanic Jew. Though, I can be extremely loud so maybe I'm heard before being seen? I've also noticed that it's not unlikely for people to REALLY hate me upon first impression and then grow to enjoy me being around. I'm kind of like whatever the appropriate phrase here explaining this same sort of evolution would be.

That last bit isn't really true. I'm actually painfully charming. Deadly so, if you consider seeing someone out and about in their work clothes with kitchen shoes and/or a work shirt on irresistible. I seem to be completely incapable of remembering to bring a change of shoes/shirt with me.

My favorite books are Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff: Christ's Childhood Pal, The Clown, Blankets, Kitchen Confidential, Let the Right One In, The Godfather, Grapes of Wrath, Great Gatsby, Nine Stories, The Yiddish Policeman's Union, Blink, You're Only Old Once, A-Z Encyclopedia of Serial Killers, Harry Potter, The Sandman, and when I was younger I read all 50 or so Hardy Boys books and to this day I still want a shit, old jalopy.

The fact that you think that you're a Chef, but nine times out of ten, you're wrong and sound stupid calling yourself one. A Chef is not a graduate of a culinary school or someone who works in a restaurant. A Chef isn't even someone who wears a tall hat. You earn being able to say you're a Chef, and I know dozens of cooks better than you'll ever be that wouldn't ever call themselves Chefs.

I hate how preachy that sounded, but I'm still not going to delete it.
