My self-summary
I'm a bunch of contradictions like most people I guess! I work in development, I'm very in to politics and social issues but I watch a lot of very crap American TV. It's not just to switch off - I genuinely love New Girl.

I love my friends who are a real mixture and lately have really been taking advantage of what London has to offer - life's pretty good.

I think it's important that you know that I'm slightly obsessed by Zombies - The Walking Dead is frickin' awesome. I recently discovered at a random science lecture that a parasite called Toxaplasma Gondi (I think) is in 50% of people and can change their behaviour to being less risk adverse, so could potentially be used by an evil genius to kind of "zombify" people. I think that is both disturbing and very cool.

Not sure how much of a self-summary that is, but it probably gives some kind of indication of what I'm like.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in International Development but am mostly based in London. I'm always coming up with various schemes to run away to South America and live life as a tanned, cool journalist type but that may not happen. Won't stop me trying though.

I don't think work is everything and I think the main reason for my interest in Socialism is that I want to live a more interesting life where I have time to pursue other interests.

Regardless of my lack of time, I write (badly), I'm trying to learn German and re-learn the keyboard. I read a lot and recently joined a book club, which I know makes me a geek but whatev's. Of course I go out, dance, drink too much, do stupid things but as I'm getting older I prefer going for dinner, interesting lectures etc.
I’m really good at
Not sure I'm especially good at anything in particular. I seem to have a bit of a knack for making people feel better but I'm not sure if that's really a skill.

I'm probably just a bit of an all-rounder. I used to write very good essays at Uni, but that seems a bit irrelevant now!

I'm a good singer when I have the guts to actually sing!

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favourite books: The Unbearable Lightness of Being; The Bernard Cornwell Series on Alfred the Great (lots of violence); Empress Orchid; Mudbound; Brave New World; Bridget Jones' Diary (1&2!).

Favourite films (not movies, I'm English for Christ's sake!): True Romance; Forrest Gump; Johnny Mad Dog; Dog Soldiers; High Fidelity; Shawshank Redemption; This is England; Dead Man's Shoes; The Lives of Others.

Favourite TV: New Girl; Girls; Scrubs; SATC; The Walking Dead.

Favourite music: Not my greatest passion but I do like it. At the moment my Spotify playlist had a combination of Laura Mvula, Adele, Stone Roses, The Cure and Snoop Dog! I like dancing a lot and that tends to be to hip-hop, dub-step, garage.

Favourite food: I LOVE food and cooking. Difficult to pick a favourite food though although it's probably cheese.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
The solution to capitalism. Way too many people are miserable in this world - how can that be the right way too live? Life is too short and the suffering that happens, even in developed countries, makes me sick.

I also spend a fair amount of time thinking about my hair.
On a typical Friday night I am
It really varies.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 26–33
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You are at least vaguely intelligent and know they difference between your and you're - how difficult is that really??!!! You must be able to laugh about yourself, be kind, be up for trying new stuff, be sociable, at least have some interest in politics. It would probably be good if you are up for travelling.

I'm basically looking for Nick Miller from New Girl! (who is probably none of the above, which proves I'm not as bright as I think!)
