My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a bunch of contradictions like most people I guess! I work in development, I'm very in to politics and social issues but I watch a lot of very crap American TV. It's not just to switch off - I genuinely love New Girl.

I love my friends who are a real mixture and lately have really been taking advantage of what London has to offer - life's pretty good.

I think it's important that you know that I'm slightly obsessed by Zombies and Vikings - well the crap films and series' they make about them anyway. Maybe this means I like violence?! Not sure!

Not sure how much of a self-summary that is, but it probably gives some kind of indication of what I'm like.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in Fundraising for an International Development charity. I'm always coming up with various schemes to run away to South America and live life as a tanned, cool journalist type but that may not happen. Won't stop me trying though.

I don't think work is everything and I think the main reason for my interest in Socialism is that I want to live a more interesting life where I have time to pursue other interests - creative persuits, trekking etc

I'm learning Spanish at the moment but I'm not sure how well I'm doing. A woman at work asked me something in Spanish and all I could say was "Que?".

I was a very involved with political campaigning which meant I had to give up everything else for a while. Taken a step back now and would like to start singing again (not very good but is an aim of mine to perform more) and learn dress-making. Of course I go out, dance, drink too much, do stupid things but as I'm getting older I prefer going for dinner, interesting lectures etc.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a good cook - especially just throwing stuff together. I very rarely follow recipes. I seem to have a bit of a knack for making people feel better but I'm not sure if that's really a skill. I'm also pretty good at organising Lefties - which believe me, is actually an achievement!

I used to write very good essays at Uni, but that seems a bit irrelevant now!

I'm a good singer when I have the guts to actually sing! Think I used to be better though - fear I ruined my voice with ciggies. (Quit a while ago)

Good at remembering lines from TV and Film - pointless but perhaps it means I'd be adept at being an actress or something.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Me eyes and that I talk too much. I get called "passionate" a lot which I think refers to my occasional political rants. I hope I'm not too bad though.

Help your potential matches find common interests.
Favourite books: The Unbearable Lightness of Being; The Bernard Cornwell Series on Alfred the Great (lots of violence); Empress Orchid; Mudbound; Brave New World; Bridget Jones' Diary (1&2!), Shantaram.

Favourite films (not movies, I'm English for Christ's sake!): True Romance; Forrest Gump; Johnny Mad Dog; Dog Soldiers; High Fidelity; Shawshank Redemption; This is England; Dead Man's Shoes; The Lives of Others; Take this Waltz.

Favourite TV: New Girl; Girls; Scrubs; SATC; The Walking Dead, Vikings.

Favourite music: Stone Roses, Fleetwood Mac, Kate Bush, Paulo Nutini, The Verve...all kinds of stuff but it really depends what mood I'm in.

Favourite food: I LOVE food and cooking. Difficult to pick a favourite food though although it's probably cheese.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The outdoors
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The solution to capitalism. Way too many people are miserable in this world - how can that be the right way too live? Life is too short and the suffering that happens, even in developed countries, makes me sick.

I also spend a fair amount of time thinking about my what I'm going to eat next.

I often wonder if I'm fundamentally very lazy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It really varies.

You're fundamentally kind - that's the most important. But other things you should be are intelligent but not arrogant, left-wing politically, able to laugh at yourself, up for trying new things, socially liberal, a grown up (most of the time), silly and a good kisser - very important!

You must be able to tolerate my ditziness. I'm clever and able but I do daft things and have no sense of direction!
