My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
At this point in time, a familiar mix of serious and playful parts of myself is leaning more to the playful side. Sounds a bit funny but also has some truth to it.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
In my work life, I'm a psychologist in private practice. I love my work and also try to balance it with vigorous physical activity(dance, kick boxing, etc), seeing friends as often as possible, enjoying relationship with my 18 year old son.
It would be lovely to meet a man with whom to enjoy life.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
really listening, making bridges to people, talking and thinking in metaphors, enjoying life while also being thoughtful about things.
The first things people usually notice about me

Poetry ( Eliz Bishop, Emily Dickinson, ee Cummings for a start);the novel, Housekeeping-amazing; books , articles by a handful of psychoanalysts who are honest about what goes in inside of them as well as the patient. Some movies : Winter's Bone, recent Muppets movie I saw with my son on my birthday, Annie Hall( the other Woody Allen movies went downhill afterwards, in my view. There are lots more but that's a taste.
Music: Buena Vista Social Club, Dave Matthews, Patti Smith, Pearl Jam, Blind Boys of Alabama, and lots more.
Food: many different tastes of food appeal- I especially like to taste the flavors of ingredients in foods- ie, Chez Panisse.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
beauty, kindness, love,, room for reflection (can't there be more than 6?)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
life-how it works in the worl outside and the worlds inside.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
reading, reflecting on the week, watching Lehr newshour
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
