I have no idea how or why OKC determined that my personality is
"less kind". I'm kind. Promise.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in marketing at an architecture firm. I get to do lots of the fun things, like photography, and graphic design, and destroying unsuspecting co-workers at ping pong. Probably the pinnacle of my career was the day my boss summoned my papercraft skillz to make a pop-up birthday card for a client. I have a really serious job.
Living the dream. Playing on a bunch of tennis teams. Eating chicken strips.
I’m really good at
Texting while driving.
I'm actually pretty bad at it.
The first things people usually notice about me
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Because my work requires so much boring technical reading, I rarely pick up a book these days. I am, however, shamelessly drawn to sports psychology self help books such as: The Inner Game of Tennis, Winning Ugly, and A Champion's Mind. (This book was awful. Don't read it.)
Some long-time faves: A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, You Shall Know Our Velocity, and anything by David Sedaris.
Shows: An Idiot Abroad, True Detective, Seinfeld, The Wire, Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Mad Men, The Fall, and (just for amusement) Judge Judy.
Music: I like music.
Podcasts: This American Life, Stuff You Should Know, Mike and Tom Eat Snacks.
Food: Carbs. Also, olives, and especially chicken. [Update: I gave up carbs. It's hard.]
The six things I could never do without
Tired of making stupid lists for okc
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future: Is it coming?
Is the USTA computer rating system actually God?
Did you understand what I just said, in the way I intended?
The qualities that make up a perfect nectarine. (Yes, there is a rating scale from 1-10 on factors such as flavor, texture, and juiciness.)
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with friends, drinking beer, hopefully on a patio in the sun. Alternatively, hit group.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I forcibly hug my dog.
You should message me if
You care about other people
You have advice: I signed up for Hood to Coast this summer. I've never run more than 2 miles in my life. Whoops.
