My self-summary
I CAME OUT AS TRANS SINCE THE LAST TIME I LOGGED IN HERE
If this isnt a deterrent go to my new profile nauarcha

I start out by saying something self deprecating about how I'm bad at writing these/talking about myself, right? That's how these things go?

I'm a geek, a feminist, a skeptic, an atheist, a science enthusiast, a hedonist, an 80s-style goth.

I want to be Carl Sagan when I grow up.

Some days I'm Pinkie Pie, some days I'm Twilight Sparkle.

If you're looking for a serious relationship, I am not a good choice. For a variety of reasons, but the most obvious being I want to move back to Portland ASAP
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to get my shit together, how exciting! I'd like to be a scientist and education activist eventually, I s'pose that's the goal I'm working towards. I love goth nights! Eugene doesn't quite have the most active scene but it's definitely there.
I’m really good at
Writing. Academic debate. Reading. Talking about things that excite me(ask me about crows!). Taking care of animals. Dancing like I'm beating away invisible bats.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably the fact that I dress like some sort of confused time traveler. My fashion is rather noticeable.

I'm also kind of... loud. I'm an extrovert with a poor social filter.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorites at this very moment : The Wheel of Time, Repo! The Genetic Opera, Voltaire & Emilie Autumn, Cucumber Sandwiches, and Futurama.

Steampunk & Victorian Sci-Fi. The Difference Engine by William Gibson and Bruce Sterling, the Time Machine by H.G. Wells, etc. Also, childrens and young adult fiction - C.S. Lewis, J.K. Rowling (I know more about Harry Potter than it should be legal to know)
Pretty much any science fiction/fantasy. My latest addiction is the Wheel of Time.
Holmesian for life!
If you list Rand without some sort of disclaimer I side-eye the hell out of your profile and then stop reading

P.S. I don't usually get along well with people who "don't like to read."

fight club, princess bride, mirrormask, any movies of my favorite books, great anime films, such as Akira and anything by Hayao Miyazaki, Pretty much anything with Dolph Lundgren, The Buffy Movie, All sorts of Musicals - Cabaret, JCS, Phantom, Pirates of Penzance. Rocky Horror and Repo should probably be on this list.

Buffy the vampire Slayer, Babylon 5, Firefly, House, Angel, Eureka, Futurama, Avatar : The Last Airbender, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Xena : The Warrior Princess, Star Trek(original, next gen & DS9), Doctor Who, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, How I Met Your Mother, 30 Rock

goth, darkwave, dark electro, post-punk, punk, grunge, pissed off girls with classical instruments.

I’m looking for
  • Guys and girls who like bi girls
  • Ages 18–35
  • Near me
  • For new friends, short-term dating, casual sex
You should message me if
If you're not a feminist, don't bother.
If you're religious, don't bother.

If you love Carl Sagan and Neil deGrasse Tyson!
If you love Skepchick!
If you love fantasy!
If you love partying!

I really prefer if you don't proposition me in the first message, I only sleep with people I enjoy talking to.

I really like going out with poly people who already have a primary partner, it tends to be fairly uncomplicated as far as these things go, so y'all "available" types should definitely hit me up. This isn't a requirement though.
