I'm short, fat, intelligent, funny, down to earth, a nerd, goofy, messy, caring, encouraging, fun, understanding, friendly, silly, open-minded. When I make mistakes, I own up to them. I give credit where credit is due. I know next to nothing about cars or sports, but I love to learn.
Sometimes I'm logical, sometimes I'm ridiculous, often I'm both at once. Sometimes I'm sarcastic, sometimes I'm sincere, and I'll always appreciate a little alliteration. ;) I have my own mind and I'm not afraid to use it or ashamed to speak it, so long as what I have to say is respectful (if it's not, I'll usually find a different way to say it, or I won't say it). Respecting others is huge for me. I'm trustworthy, and I don't make promises I can't keep, so let's just be honest:
My room is almost never clean. I bite my fingernails. I rarely leave the house on time. The smell of seafood makes me nauseated. I drive too fast (but I always use my blinker!). I burp a lot. I sweat a lot. I laugh too loud. I'm clumsy. My skin is far from flawless. I snore.

And if you get to know me, you'll realize how totally awesome I am.
True story.

I want to work in post production audio for visual media, specifically as a sound designer/editor and/or foley artist/editor, but of course I'll take whatever experience I can get.

I was accepted to a few CSUs out of high school, but opted for community college instead. I took my sweet time in community college, focusing on technical theatre and psychology, and I learned a lot. I started at San Jose State University in fall 2012, majoring in Radio, TV, and Film.

I'm really good at taking things slow. You're welcome to message me, but don't expect to get me on the phone or meet in person within the first 3 weeks. I take things very slow. First, I'm fine with sending messages back and forth for a few days. If we get along well, then maybe we can chat online for a few weeks. And then maybe we can talk on the phone for a while. And then maybe — MAYBE — if I feel really comfortable with you, then MAYBE we can meet in person. I take things very slow, and I'm not ashamed of that. I'm not looking for a quick and easy hook up or fling. I'm looking for something real, that builds up over time. If you're not willing to put in the time, you should probably look elsewhere. I'm just being honest.

Personally: Being honest, laughing, listening, being silly, helping people, tripping on my words and making strange noises, giving hugs and compliments, squealing at cute things, being friendly, staying up too late, procrastinating, being open minded and nonjudgmental, burping, encouraging people.

Professionally: Stage managing plays and dance shows (and thus handling situations with lots and lots of stress), sound design and editing, leadership, communication, conflict resolution, brain storming, multi tasking, organizing things, taking notes.

Talents: I'm a decent singer; I know I don't have a chance at a career in it, but I still love to sing. I have a knack for losing anything, and finding things to trip on. I'm a good actress, and am pretty good at generic Southern, British, and New York accents. I'm working on Irish and Scottish as well, but I pretty much suck at them. I'm not great at these either, but love word games like anagrams, word searches, and crosswords, and I really enjoy board/table top games as well (Settlers of Catan, Munchkin, Apples to Apples, Catch Phrase, Uno, and more!).

From what I've been told, people notice my smile and big dimples, and they can tell that I'm very friendly and welcoming.

I love entertainment. I love being entertained and being involved in the entertaining of others.

Movies: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is my favorite everything (books, movies, soundtracks). Some of my other all-time favorite movies (not in any order) are: Up!, The Fifth Element, 10 Things I Hate About You, Amelie, Zoolander, Much Ado About Nothing, Groundhog Day, WALL•E, many more. Other movies I love, again in no order: X-Men: First Class, Moulin Rouge!, Kick Ass, The Avengers, Clueless, The Princess Bride, I Love You Man, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Crazy Stupid Love, Despicable Me, Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Casablanca, many, many, MANY more!

TV: I love Doctor Who and its soundtracks. Every summer I become re-obsessed with So You Think You Can Dance because many of the most beautiful pieces of performance art I have ever seen came from that show. I also love Game of Thrones, True Blood, Boardwalk Empire, Misfits, Pokemon, Castle, Supernatural, Top Gear (UK). And I thoroughly enjoy Sherlock, Parks & Rec, Community, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Psych, Bones, Colbert Report, The Daily Show with John Stewart, Mythbusters, How It's Made, Once Upon A Time, Grimm, nature and/or science documentaries, Stargate SG-1, British mysteries like Midsomer Murders, Inspector Lewis, Agatha Christie's Poirot, and Rosemary and Thyme, British dramas like Downton Abby, Upstairs Downstairs. And more!

Books: As I said, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is my all time favorite. I love the John Green books I've read ("Looking for Alaska" and "An Abundance of Katherines"), and I look forward to reading his others. Other favorites are "The Hobbit", "The Giver", "Rain of Gold", "The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat", "The Mating Mind", Anne McCaffrey's Harper Hall Trilogy, and more. I don't read as much as I'd like to, because I do love reading.
I read the first of The Hunger Games trilogy, LOVED IT, and then watched the movie, which I really did not love. So I've been debating if I should read the other books before the movies come out, because I was SO disappointed with the movie after reading the book, or watch the movies and then read the books. What do you think?

Music: I have super eclectic taste in music, and I can listen to nearly any genre. I do go through phases, but I always return to 90s alt rock, and alt rock and rock in general. I love lots of what I've heard from many, many, MANY artists, but I'm not super into any particular band or artist. Except Regina Spektor. She's just freaking awesome.

Also, I know that I'm overweight. I do want to be healthier. I used to do high impact exercise and work out intensely, but then I started having joint problems…. I now enjoy low impact exercise and work outs like yoga, but I don't do them nearly enough. It'd be nice to have a buddy or partner to do them with. :)
