My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am silly, sarcastic and irreverent. Oh,
and humble. The most humble. And awesome. Ask anyone.

I enjoy being kind, going on adventures, unstructured vacations, photography, cooking fantastic meals, playing the host, spinning poi, and making friends wherever I go.

I love the geekier things in life.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Re-evaluating what I want to do with my life. What I *don't* want to do it work in a corporate 9-5 gig for someone else until I fall over and get a gold watch when I'm so old time doesn't matter.

When I'm not working I fill my life with great friends, cocktail parties, improving my space with a hammer and saw, photography, nerd events(!), and random trips to anywhere and everywhere. I want to fill up my passport in the next three years.

I love my beautiful friends, I love my beautiful life (this includes the friends that don't think they are beautiful- eventually they will learn...). I may be good for your ego.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Staying overwhelmingly positive in even the most fucked up situations (rare as they are).

Collecting and connecting amazing people.

Making things alright. You can guarantee that if I get involved in something, it will absolutely, in some way, get better. It's my superpower. One of three.

I'm a great friend, and I pour a stiff drink. I'll also help you move. And maybe move a body- if I really didn't like that person to begin with.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am extroverted- and I talk quite a bit. Oh- and my rugged good looks.

I am made of science. MADE of science. If I'm ever on TV again, I want the chiron (that blurb under your picture) to read "Jonathan R. (Reseda), Made of Science".

a.) Stephenson, Heinlein, Azimov, Niven, Ellis, Moore (Michael and Alan), Jordan. I haven't read as much as I should lately. I'm sadly out of practice. I gave up the WoW, so I think i'll be picking more of that up now.

b.) Movies? Fight Club, Indiana Jones and the all of them, It's not a movie- but Farscape and Firefly, Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness, Blues Brothers, Buckaroo Banzai, Eddie Izzard Dressed to Kill, Shaun of the Dead, The Incredibles, Down With Love, Joe Versus The Volcano. LOST, Carnivale, Smallville, Stargate (both of them), Serenity, Doctor Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog, Battlestar Galactica, Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny, 1408, Oh Brother, Where Art Thou, Star Wars, Star Trek, sci fi, Love Actually, LA Story, Warehouse 13, Eureka, Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes, Fringe, Dexter, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Space: 1999, Blake's 7, Misfits.

My guilty pleasure are, essentially, Brendon Frasier movies. :)

c.) Music? Anything Acapella. Or NPR. But really I'm a KPCC fan. I like the talk radio. I feel so old- these kids and their music. Right now I've got an ear work of The Ballad of Barry Allen by Jim's big ego as well as jonathan coulton. I can't get enough of Radiolab. I love podcasts. I listen to Stuff You Should Know all the time.

d.) I've been in to healthier food lately. Last night I made Sundried Tomato and curry Quinoa risotto, bacon wrapped asparagus, and chicken breasts stuffed with fresh pesto (extra garlic on that one). I still can't turn down a good creme brulee or chocolate souffle.

My Happy little, go anywhere, do anything I ask of it, Honda Element (The Elemento Del Fuego!). It was my first new car and I love it to death.

My friends. I am such a social creature. I love being around people.

Intimacy. Sex I can get anywhere.

My house. I've created a happy little nest that I call my own. I love it. It loves me. You may have seen it on the internet, you may have been drunk here.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What now? I'm a solution looking for the right problem to tackle.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Having a night in with my fellow geeky friends to get our Sci-Fi Friday on. I cook for everyone- then we cocktail while some enjoy the Sci Fi on TV, Spin Fire, soak in the spa or just have lovely nights talking with friends new and old. My house has turned in to Cheers for the Nerd set. As one of my friends says "It's where everyone knows your Klingon name..."
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I was in the LA Times as one of those people that looks like their dog.

Yeah, I know. But he's rad and he didn't mind.

And I was in Doctor Horrible in a purple suit and got an IMDB credit out of it.

I am REALLY bad at taking my own advice. I'm getting better though.

I love meeting people who identify as geeky who also happen to have people skills.

You have something fun or creative to share with me. I learn by doing and my friends are great filters for what's good to learn.

Strong-willed and a bit extroverted. Opinionated. Expressive.
Happy and comfortable being in charge when you feel like it. (Strong women are sexy!). Geeky or geek-appreciative women required.
