I like to go to shows -- music, comedy, movies -- play sports and board games, travel, play guitar, bike, and read. I'm looking forward to cultivating my green thumb in the rooftop garden I recently inherited. I grew up close to Minneapolis and lived there most of my life, save the short stint I had as an ESL instructor in Korea and even shorter stint as a permaculturist in Mexico. I decided to come to NY because of my research interests in urban sociology and consumption.

I am studying for a PhD in sociology and am an adjunct professor. I teach a class on US social movements. I also play a mean game of ping-pong and love philosophizing.
