My self-summary
I'm a Simpsons quote machine, write my own music, into photography and play Beatles songs like nobody's business.

I kind of suck at online small talk at first but get me going and I can talk all night.
What I’m doing with my life
I'd really like to travel one specific place per year from now on, but I made up for lost time during a three week trip to Europe this year and proved to be an amazingly rewarding experience (not monetarily though lol)

I'm also working on music as much as I can in my free time (Not a fan of what's considered "popular") - my dream is to release a full length LP!

I do have a normal job, though, and work in the downtown core. I love being in the heart of the city even though the TTC gets on my nerves.
I’m really good at
Simpsons quoting. Yup, that's totally it. I also do a pretty good Gordon Ramsay impression! Having both a tame and offensive sense of humor at the same time. Getting people to fall in love with my cooking seems to be running theme lately.
The first things people usually notice about me
How crazy curly my hair is? (I like to cut it short though). Probably how loud I can be when having a good time? People have said my eyes are nice too.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Wayyyyy too much stuff to list here. Go ahead and ask me, but here's a few anyway:

Books:
Fiction: The Great Gatsby, Slaughterhouse V, Catcher in the Rye, She's Come Undone, 1984, Fahrenheit 451, The Old Man and the Sea.

Non-Fiction: Anything by Neil Degrasse Tyson (usually some form of astrophysics), Christopher Hitchens, A Short History of Nearly Everything, The Universe in a Nutshell.

Movies: I'll give anything a shot but, Pulp Fiction, 127 Hours, 28 Days Later, Goodfellas, Lost in Translation, Moonrise Kingdom, American Psycho, The King's Speech, Midnight in Paris, Amelie. List goes on and on and on.

Music: My biggest love-hate relationship. Does Songza count? I love The Beatles, Feist, Joni Mitchell, Coldplay, U2, Ben Folds, Pierre Bensusan, Chopin, The Who, Supertramp, The Zombies, Anything British! Currently digging El Camino by the Black Keys. I'm in a bit of a musical bubble at the moment, so suggestions are welcome!

TV: GAME OF THRONES! Utopia (dystopian future fans!) Californication, Rescue Me, Eastbound and Down, Yes, Minister (I also like British TV. Basically all things British! +1 for British Accents also!). But I LOVE cartoons - Clone High, The Simpsons, Futurama, Archer, Adventure Time. Could go on and on.

Also, recently House of Cards has become my crack.
The six things I could never do without
This could go in so many different directions I'm not even gonna touch this section :P
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future, music, new places to visit, world issues, science and technology, finding new things to learn. FOOD! And what I can make that tastes super delicious. How is it possible Neil Degrasse Tyson consistently blows my mind?

I recently discovered the world of home espresso making and how insanely complicated it all can be and how the hell am I supposed to make latte art?

Why do most people seem to hate jazz music?
On a typical Friday night I am
At the Piston on Ossington, Beatlemania at Clintons or hanging out at home discovering movies. I usually go out more on Saturdays though.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm usually shy at first but I tend to talk a lot around people I like. I also have a tendency to sing out loud while wandering around the city with headphones on.

I think the rise of people who want to be Instagram celebrities is kind of disturbing.
