greetings and salutations, my name's _______(tell ya later). i've
been in vegas for almost 3 years now, and i'm just doing what i can
to meet new people who aren't crazy, self-absorbed, or
dillusional....that so much to ask?
a few basic things before you read on....
0. i'm not the one-night-stand kinda guy...that's depressing and gross to me. i'm better than that.
1. i'm black...not gangster. if you can't tell the difference i'm not for you
2. i love music. all of it. rock, rap, hip hop(there's a difference), classical, pop, n yeah even a little country
3. i hate being ignored. there's nothing more disrespectful in my book. so in the case that i DO take the time to write you, write back. if you're not interested, say so. we're adults right?
4. i have a job, a car, a home, and a steady source of income...let's save the details for later
5. beauty is not constrained by color of the skin. but ugly is. think about it.
6. i hope i'm not coming off as mean, cuz i'm not....usually
7. i like sneakers. and girls that wear heels.
8. i want to learn how to snowboard
9. if it tastes good, i'll probably eat it.
10. say no to drugs, yes to hugs
11. i write rhymey word thingies and draw
12. contrary to how this sounds, i'm pretty approachable. and love a good convo. so if you're interested, drop me a line....please no "hi" or "i like your profile" tho...i mean c'mon. don't be lazy.

it's been there from the start
am i making love wait?
or waiting for it to fall apart?
when you're miles away
you're still the reason i dress so sharp
but i end up self-inflicting scars
and i tell myself i'm being smart
but am i being wise
to despise
such trivial differences
do i fall THAT short of the other guys?
how hard do i have to try?
how much do i have to work out?
how high do i have to fly?
how silly would i feel
if you had x-ray vision this whole time
if who i was inside
was what you really saw shine
if when you looked in my eyes
you saw my mind telling you why
i put my emotions into rhyme
and my dreams into lines
why i'm ok with you not beside me
but i pray to God you stand behind
what i'm trying to become
and who i'm striving to be
but who i've been addressing
is who i'm dying to meet
i might not have met you yet
or we might go back for years
but i still know you're out there
wish you were here...
