My self-summary
I'm Sarah, I'm 25 years old. I have a BA in English Literature and Media, and am currently working in Sainsbury's to pay for that degree! I moved to Brighton about eighteen months ago after i graduated but i was originally born here and moved to Yorkshire when i was 4 - so if there's a North/South debate going on i will always choose to play devil's advocate! Ha!

I like rock, metal, punk, cheesy 'old skool' rock, Mowtown, 60's and indie music - favourite bands (this is only a minute taster) are Foo Fighters, Muse, Green Day, Nirvana, Maiden, Foreigner, Journey, Michael Jackson (and the Jackson 5) Letters To Cleo, Kings of Leon, Cher (i'd be sorry but i don't care, i love her!) and The Offspring.

I love films! Especially ones that make the hair on the back of your neck go all tingly. I enjoy most types of film but am not a huge fan of the 'chick flick' (Bleurgh!) although there are a few oldies that are enjoyable. Couldn't possibly pick a favourite film but here are a few amazing ones..... Death At A Funeral (The Brit original), Ringu, Battle Royale, Crank, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Hot Fuzz, Sean of The Dead, Run Fatboy Run, X-men (tril), Back To The Future (tril), Star Wars (the originals), Life of David Gale, Se7en, Office Space, Clerks, Clerks 2, Mallrats, Dodgeball, Zoolander, Run Lola Run, Pan's Labyrinth, Lilo and Stitch (Sssshhh!), Lord of The Rings (tril), Superbad, Pineapple Express, David Lynch films...... Gah! I could go on forever!!! However I HATE Hollywood remakes of good films! It drives me mad how they change things and make them suck ass!!

I like the word trinkett (although, fucked if i can spell it!!).

I enjoy writing and I like reading either horror, crime thriller or stuff with meaning - favourite books is another endless topic! Here's a few authors i love .... Terry Pratchett, Martina Cole, Patricia Cornwell, Marianne Keyes, Kathy Reichs, James Herbert, Jeff Lindsay and William Shakespeare.

Other hobbies include but are not limited to... camping, walking, taking pictures (i'm no good and don't really know what i'm doing but hey! It's my hobby! Haha!), mooching around with friends, going to the beach, playing on the Wii/Xbox/PS2, watching several US Tv shows, messing on the internet, going out with friends, pubs/bars, nights in and shopping.

I have recently discovered a love of tattoos. I currently have two (one on the back of my neck and one on my wrist) but i actually have at least 5 or 6 more in the works (i say in the works.... i mean saving up the money to get them done!) and will probably plan a few more in the meantime. I also like piercings, although i have been put off a bit since my navel bar was ripped out a few years back so currently just have my ears done. Do really want my tongue done though :)

Oh yeah, and when i'm bored i dye my hair random colours.

Ok, so that's a bit about me (in a round-about generic kind of way.) There's a lot more to me but i'll save that for later (don't want to bore you to death straight away do i? Haha!)

Basically i'm looking for someone honest, genuine and patient. Nice eyes, nice smile, good sense of humour and the ability not to lie with every word out of your mouth. (Ass you could crack walnuts with, big muscled arms and tattoos/piercings are considered a bonus but not necessary! Teehee!)
Also i'm a bit picky about grammar etc. I don't care if people make genuine mistakes, or if they type with the odd 'lol' or 'u' etc but if your sentances generally 'luk lik dis, plz dnt bova' to messege me. If it takes more concentration to read someone's email than it does to get to know the person who wrote it then for me it's just not worth the effort. Sorry.

Ok, so if i've not terrified you off already then feel free to messege me. I do bite, but this is an email, so you're perfectly safe ;) x

I am sarcastic, opinionated, and argumentative
What I’m doing with my life
As i said i'm at the moment working in Sainsbury's but in future i would like to work in editing for film or TV.

My dream job would either be as an editor on some awesomly good films (would give my left nut to work on a Tim Burton film! lol!) Would also quite like a job in the publishing industry as an agent or a reader.

So at the minute it's just working to pay off my student debts and hopefully get some pennies to have a bit of fun.
I’m really good at
Analysing films - whilst watching them - drives my mates crazy!!!

I have a unique talent for writing bitchy emails and letters. My mam calls it eloquence! (I think she's being sarcastic lol!)

Listening. It is an over-rated skill and i value it.

Being honest.... to the point of brutality at times :-s (not intentionally) - again it's something i value.

Think that's about it, although i'm sure i must have some well hidden well of talent hidden somewhere.... surely no-one can be this hopeless?
The first things people usually notice about me
My varied use of the English language? I can combine an extremely eloquent and sophisticated sentance, pull it off with grace and dignity before "ruining" it by ending it with an expletive. Ooops!

My eyes? They are blue. Apparently sometimes they are very blue... whatever that means?

Didn't really know how to answer this as i have never had to "notice" myself so i asked a friend. His answer was:

"People notice other people's faces first.... oh... and your boobs." Haha!

People tend to think i'm extremely quiet until you get to know me but it's just me taking stock and figuring out where i stand before getting to know you and scaring you witless! Ha!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
a) Geography of the heart: a memoir - by Fenton Johnson, anything by Martina Cole, Torey Hayden, Sidney Sheldon, James herbert, Terry Pratchett, Marian Keyes, Jeffery Archer (but only his short stories).... and i could go on and on and on
b) A Time To Kill, Battle Royale, Boy's Don't Cry, Family Guy: The Movie, Clerks, Mallrats, Clerks 2, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Kill Bill 1 and 2, Reservoir Dogs, From Dusk til Dawn, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Pan's Labyrinth, Hot Fuzz, Tod Browning's Freaks, Eraserhead, Mulholland Drive, Ice Age 1 & 2, The Magic Roundabout, Peeping Tom, Serial Mom, the list is utterly endless.....
c) Green Day, Nirvana, Dashboard Confessional, Letters To Cleo, White Stripes, Foo Fighters, Chili's, Muse, Placebo, Tenacious D, Three Doors Down, Four Star Mary, Juliette and The Licks, Imogen Heap/Frou Frou, Eva Cassidy, Whitney Houston, Three Days Grace, Oasis, The Offspring, Reel Big Fish, The Calling, Shakira, Celine Dion, Pink, Evanescence, Lacuna Coil, Lost Prophets, My Chemical Romance, Michael Jackson, Coheed and Cambria, Santana, Dragonforce, Marilyn Manson, Guns N Roses,Staind, a bit of Metallica, Iron Maiden, Aiden - i also like some dance, classical, trance and techno-opera (ok i only know one techno-opera track but it's ace!)
Basically i'll listen to anything once, if i like it it's added to my laptop.
4)Bacon and cheese sarnies with tomato sauce, sweet and sour chicken, pasta, ice cream, apple pie, cheeeeeese!!
The six things I could never do without
1) My music - see the gigantic list above, music means a lot to me as it's my form of expression. i love singing (regardless of whether or not i am any good, i'll sing away to my heart's content!)
2) My tent/ camping - my true love. Been camping since i was a teeeny tiny baby and i can't see myself ever stopping!
3) My family (can't live with em....) - although they piss me off more than anything in the world!!!
4) My friends - piss me off second only to my family lol
5) Festivals/gigs (combine things 1 and 2 so kind of obvious but...)
6) Eyeliner. Yes i know it's pathetic and girly but i am slightly addicted to the stuff.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Things that confuse me. E.g - if this particular product is better and cheaper than the leading brand - why is it not the leading brand?

I worry a lot. I'll admit it. Even about stupid things that i know don't need worring about, yet i'll worry about them anyway.

What i would do if i had the money... TRAVEL!!! Go back to Uni to do a more specific course, finally finish driving lessons and get a car, pay off the Uni debts.... travel some more.... heh!
On a typical Friday night I am
If i have the money i am in the pub with mates or at the cinema - if i'm poor i'm generally spending time watching dvds/playing Xbox/Wii/PS2 (either alone or with friends/family) or if the weather's good i try to be camping. Or if the mood takes me, curled up somewhere with a good book or a notepad to doodle a new tattoo idea or write something.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
In a drunken state i have dropped my keys, headbutted the front door whilst trying to retrieve said keys and ended up in a heap on the doorstep where my sister had to come to pick me up and let me in. I then proceeded to hold an entire conversation with a lamp.

On another drunken occassion i have led my semi-naked (fishnet vest, thong and shoes) friend Rachel round our Halls of Residence and to the shop on a dog lead.

Maybe i should stop getting drunk.... damn that rum!!

Oh yeah, and i'm scared of clowns..... stop laughing i'm serious!! I hate the evil bastards! *shudders*
