I'm a big girl, I'm not going to even try to tip-toe around that fact, and I won't let it define me either... if that's a problem, just move on.
Travel is something I always yearn for.
I love sports.
I'd like to think I'm 3 distinct personality types rolled into one. Part librarian geek, part hippie traveler, and part tom-boy sports nut. Appeal to any one of those and you'll find a friend for life.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm attempting to fix massive irresponsible decisions I made as a teenager... So yes, I did move back home with my parents for the time being, not glamorous, but I'm glad to have their support.
I'm planning on going back in the near future for a history degree and masters in Library sciences.
I’m really good at
random road trips (getting lost can be fun you know!). Remembering
completely random trivia and completely useless facts from film and
The first things people usually notice about me
To be honest. I have no clue. Physically, when I first switched out
my nose screw to a nose ring, I'd have to say that was the most
noticeable. But beyond that, when I'm wearing short enough sleeves-
the tattoos on my left arm.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
(a)I really did end up loving some of the books we all had to read in high school, like Of Mice and Men, Ethan Frome, Grendel, Hamlet. Plus some other random ones, Where The Sidewalk Ends, most Chuck Palahniuk novels, The Third life of Grand Copeland, and pretty much any book about classical history. I collect them like mad.
(b)Mystic River, The Reader, Revolutionary Road, Little Shop of Horrors, Star Trek, The Evil Dead, The Gore Gore Girls, Night of the Living Dead, Desperately Seeking Susan, Machete, The Killer Inside Me, Midnight in Paris, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Snatch, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, The Big Lebowski, Super Troopers, Beerfest, Planet Terror & Death Proof, all Indiana Jones movies, any Bond movie with Sean Connery
(c) I listen to almost everything. But, favorite genres.... I would have to say 40's-50's jazz & blues and early to mid 90's alternative.
(d) I'm a big lover of pasta and seafood. I wish I could eat spicy food, but due to a throat surgery at 19, I simply can't do it.
The six things I could never do without
-one good book(or 20) to stimulate my mind.
-a close friend to confide in.
-music to sooth the soul.
-pets to dote upon
-grandma's mac & cheese/shellfish cooking
-car for freedom.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where I would like to live next, just in general what type of decisions could lead me to be a happier more fulfilled person, which is a cheesy way to put how I think about my ideal future.
On a typical Friday night I am
usually snuggled up watching a movie. I'm not too crazy, I don't go partying much anymore, (usually only for birthdays and holidays) even though I would love to spend more time with friends and extended family.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've had some form of social and generalized anxiety since I was
quite young. I have improved a lot, but there are times that it
does affect me strongly.
You should message me if
I'm not a picky person, but making an effort counts to me, I don't
like "hi, how are ya" as the complete message. I like a little bit
about you or why you wanted to talk to me.
So. yeah. I'm an open book, just ask something.
