My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Let's see... I'm very curious, and I enjoy the company of people who can laugh at themselves (and others, that's always fun). I appreciate passionate people regardless of what they're passionate about. I love to eat, but don't like to cook unfortunately, and I recently discovered scotch...

I'm more of an intellectual type, and enjoy tranquility and simplicity. Just as with friends, a certain degree of similarity is needed for two people to get along, but to me, difference is attractive. So is intelligence. Oh, and so is having a sense of humour. That's very important to me, and I just can't be around people who need to be serious all the time.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm working as a translator and I also went back to school last year; I'm studying Translation and Linguistics at the Université de Montréal. An often misunderstood discipline linguistics, but I assure you it's fascinating (you don't need to agree though). I take ballet and yoga classes, as much as my budget and time allows. So in short, I run, I study, I read, I go out, I stay in, and I dance.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
... grammar, which is perhaps one of my most boring (and annoying) talents... Also dancing, but it's more a question of 'loving it' than 'being good at it'.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
That's a big subject, so I'll write the first things that come to mind. Books : I read mostly essays these days (Malcolm Gladwell, Alain de Botton, Joseph Campbell, I love Sarah Vowell) but I enjoy novels as well (Amélie Nothomb, Gabriel García Márquez, Neil Gaiman, so many more). Movies : not much of a movie buff, but I enjoy Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Wes Anderson. Music : depends on my mood - Lamb, Brain Eno, Chopin or Satie when feeling introspective; Durango or light indie when feeling lighthearted; tango, Madeleine Peyroux or Leonard Cohen when feeling romantic; flamenco, Tchaikovsky, Nina Simone or Édith Piaf if in a melodramatic mood. Food : anything.

I also listen to an excessive amount of podcasts, from Lexicon Valley to Radiolab to Comedy Bang Bang.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Again, dance and music of course, and laughter, random acts of kindness, beauty in all its forms, and sushi.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a slight crush on Neil Degrasse Tyson.
