My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Let's see... I'm highly curious, sometimes quiet (although with some people I can't seem to shut up) and I enjoy the company of people who can laugh at themselves (and others, that's always fun). I appreciate passionate people regardless of what they're passionate about. Je suis francophone, ce qui devient très évident quand je parle en anglais. I love to eat, but don't like to cook unfortunately, and I recently discovered scotch...

I'm more of an intellectual type, and enjoy tranquility and simplicity, but I LOVE being dragged to crazy places by more spontaneous friends than I! I am not looking to date myself is what I mean. Just as with friends, a certain degree of similarity is needed for two people to get along, but to me, difference is attractive. So is intelligence. Oh, and so is having a sense of humour., that is a MUST! I know, it's such a cliché... But laughter is very important to me, and I just can't be around people who need to be serious all the time. And that applies to my lovers, boyfriends and friends.

En fait, si vous voulez en savoir plus, écrivez-moi tout simplement!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I went back to school last year; I'm studying Translation and Linguistics at the Université de Montréal. An often misunderstood discipline, but I assure you it's fascinating (you don't need to agree though). I take ballet and yoga classes, as much as my budget and time allows. So in short, I run, I study, I read, I go out, I stay in, and I dance.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
... grammar, which is perhaps one of my most boring (and annoying) talents... Also dancing, but it's more a question of 'loving it' than 'being good at it'.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I don't have one favourite for each category, so I'll write the first that comes to mind. Book : L'écume des jours. Movies : not much of a movie buff, but let's say, Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Music : depends on my mood : Lamb, Brain Eno, Chopin or Satie when I'm feeling introspective; Django, light indie like Ok Go or electroswing when I'm feeling lighthearted; tango, Madeleine Peyroux or Leonard Cohen when feeling romantic; flamenco, Tchaikovsky, Nina Simone or Édith Piaf if in a melodramatic mood, and jazz (mostly vocal) for any mood whatsoever. Oh and if I need a pick-me up, Richard Cheese. I can't get tired of the guy. Food : thai or japanese. And pasta.

I also listen to an excessive amount of podcasts, from Lexicon Valley to Radiolab to Comedy Bang Bang.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Again, dance and music of course, and laughter, random acts of kindness, beauty in all its forms, and sushi.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a slight crush on Neil Degrasse Tyson.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
I have no precise expectations. I would like to meet interesting people, men or women, for friendship and/or dating. So you should message me if you like my profile, as simple as that.
Au plaisir!
