My self-summary
I’m a people person but somehow insanely independent. It’s admittedly a conundrum. I find people extremely interesting and even the crazy ones usually give me something to mull over. I love music, museums, dining alfresco, attempting art/craft projects beyond my skill level, reading, riding my bike traveling and all that other vanilla stuff that people put in profiles. I’m a very open and honest person (sometimes to my detriment). I also like to say yes to any suggested invite that comes my way...I do enjoy a little adventure; except downhill skiing (bad ankles) or dumpster diving (fear of hepatitis).

What I’m doing with my life
I work as a lab manager at a local hospital. I really like my job it offers endless entertainment, opportunity and even creativity. Of course when it reaches more than a 12 hour day it also requires quite a bit of ibuprofen.

The first things people usually notice about me
Physically I tend to get the lovely eyes, nice hair comment. Really though most people who have been in my presence long enough for me to open my mouth tend to comment upon my personality (funny, open, confident, talk to much, too nice)…it really runs the gamut.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: Too many to list but my favorite genres include dry documentaries, foreign films, sappy romantic comedies, cheesy teen flicks, and the occasional blockbuster.

My music playlists change with the moment but some all time favorites include: Amanda Palmer/The Dresden Dolls, Mika, Passion Pit, Matt & Kim, Dispatch, Tegan and Sara, Zoe Keating, Basment Jaxx, Frou Frou and Spoon.

Food: I love to cook and dine out I particularly enjoy ethnic food and hole in the wall places. I try to avoid chain places, except when I get a craving attack for Outback cheese fries.

On a typical Friday night I am
My favorite thing to do on a Friday night is stay in. Chances are it’s been a long week and I have a couch and a bottle of wine with my name on it. If I’m solo for the evening I like to spice things up with a random playlist to set the mood for cleaning my house…as the night progresses I usually end up dancing around in my underwear while using a mop more as a prop microphone than for actual mopping.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m actually a very sensitive and caring person. it’s a part of my personality that I really disliked for a long time because I always thought it was a little “weak.” In time it’s grown on me and now I wouldn't change it even if I could.
