Hello there. I suppose the best way to summarize myself is as a hard worker, smart, and dedicated. (Humble also, apparently). I moved to STL about 3 years ago for graduate school and have really grown to like it here. I am originally from Dallas and miss it a lot, but this is my new home. I spend most of my days working in lab but the time not spent there I like to spend with my incredibly close group of friends.

I like to think that I am a funny person, kind of a dry and sarcastic sense of humor. However, underneath that I really do care about the people in my life and try to help out as much as I can. I have a really strong sense of my goals and dreams in life and so do all of my friends. Its really great that we are able to help each other achieve those goals. My friends mean the world to me.

I like to think that I have a good start to a career going and, while it takes a large amount of time and effort, I really do love what I do. Not to be cliché (ok, so this is cliché), but it hardly seems like work. That’s not to say there aren’t rough days, but they are rare.

I really like meeting new people, and hope that we can get to know each other.

I am in my third year of graduate training. I am in a combined MD and PhD program. I currently am in the PhD section which means I work in a lab, almost like a normal job. My research involves looking at how the brain changes in the early stages of dementia. I really love what I do, and hope that someday it may help someone.

I am really good at math, programming, and other exciting school/work related things. I also at some point could name the presidents in reverse alphabetical order, but I somehow let that skill get away from me.
I
am also pretty good “around the house.” While in grad school I am not exactly swimming in cash so I have been teaching myself how to fix things that break at my house. I think I am getting pretty good at it.

Usually the sense of humor/sarcasm comes out first. People take life way too seriously and I love to lighten things up whenever possible.

Books: LOTR, anything by Tolkien really
Movies: Band of brothers, Pacific, LOTR, Big Lebowski
Music: Classic Rock
Food: Just not seafood

My family - they are always offering support and even though they are far away, it really helps.
My friends - these people are great. They put up with me and we get through all the tough times together
Coffee - So not a morning person, enough said?
My cell phone - sad I know, but this thing has everything I need on it
My computer - Same as the phone
My sanity - I swear, I am not the least bit crazy

The future, its a bright prospect and its fun to think about all this work paying off

Depends, if its the week before a test I am probably studying. Otherwise, relaxing at home or out with friends.

Everyone knows you dont put this on the internet! Then its not private anymore, duh..
