I'm in theatre so my hours are totally strange and I work many hours a week.
I really couldn't live without books in my life. I like novels in general, some fantasy, Steinbeck, comics (in the middle of The Walking Dead, Chew, Saga, The 6th Gun, Invincible and The Invisibles and I have a Preacher based tattoo on my ankle), and picture story books. If you wouldn't like to read a book with me or to me, best to just skip on to another profile.

I've been here in Chicago for about 6 years, after living in Tennessee for 20, having been born in Chicago 30 years ago. I love this city and I can't imagine ever leaving it. Unless it was for London. Or Krakow, Vancouver, or Vienna.

I'm working in theatre and hanging out with my friends. I try to do things with my people as often as possible. This could include going out to the bar together (usually we do this on Sunday, as it's the end of our work week), seeing a movie, seeing theatre (this doesn't happen as often as it should), going to bookstores, record stores, playing D&D (I'm not ashamed), general gallivanting, playing Guitar Hero. I am usually up for something new, I like to do things I haven't done. I'm an extrovert... but I like introverts (here comes a side note)...you know I read in a psychology journal that introverts and extroverts should make for good relationships...help keep the balance and all that....

Hugging. listening. talking. going on walks. patience. organizing. hoping. crying. arguing. laughing. being silly. being serious. chilling. reading. thinking. dreaming. planning. doing. leading (although I prefer to be taken). splashing in puddles. random creative expression. (I really love to laugh). losing myself in wikipedia. If there were a socialism dance, I would be doin' it. Making things out of clay. Loving T.S. Eliot.

I love profanity. I tell it like it is. I am not a skinny woman; I got curves. I am pretty fond of my curves.

Let me say that books, movies, and food are some of my very favorite things in general...

My Music tastes go all over but I have a deep love of Queen. I also dig Classic Rock and Oldies! Pedro the Lion was my favorite band in college but, I have really branched out. I have this thing for Melodic Metal like Unearth, Lamb of God As I Lay Dying,Machine Head, August Burns Red. I like indie music like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, Sigur Ros, The Cure, The Futurheads, Bloc Party, Dandy Warhols, Von Bondies, The White Stripes (I have a serious thing for the Stripes), Radiohead, Autolux, Soul Coughing, Beck, Modest Mouse, The Strokes, The Knife, deftones, Smashing Pumpkins, Led Zepplin, The Beatles, Ben Folds, Cake, ELO, TV on the Radio, Bowie, Tom Petty. I also like Ray La Montagne and Elliott Smith. Fucking Nirvania is still the shit. And although I don't own much of it, I really like just about anything with a fiddle both in the Folk, Bluegrass realm and beyond.

I sort of think about my life as a the grand social experiment of being alive. Which means that I could be doing anything just for the story of doing it but, typically on Friday, I work.

Not private but here are 2 true things:

I am interested in being a parent.

You want to be with your nerd soul mate. You wanna play some kind of table top game. You wanna curl all up and read a comic book together. Dr. Who and Futurama and Brad Bird are things you want to talk about. You're psyched for C2E2. You think zombies are cool or cute or scary, but you would like it if your girlfriend wanted to dress as one. It'd be cool to play something like Uncharted or Oblivion with a strategy guide reader/sparkly jewel finder. You wanna put on records. You are smart. You encourage verbosity.
