My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I pride myself on my quirky sense of humor, ability to laugh at myself, kind heart, intellect and modesty. People say that I'm "incredibly cute," which I suspect has to do with being petite...but I have been told that I appear like a "pixey" My daughter told me to go on this site because she wants to "double date." Not really! She did think that it would be nice for me to find a like minded person as a companion or more....and it seemed like a good idea.
My daughter is very important to me. She is an aspiring Vet and probably gained a love of animals through her upbringing. I wouldn't hurt a fly.....literally! The one time that I swatted a fly, I immediately nursed it back to life with a thimble of water and bread.

I love my friends, reading, and/or seeing suspense/thrillers with twists. I HATE game shows, end of the world movies (UGH!), reality TV and sitcoms. I would prefer watching an episode of "Garden Giants" describing huge avocados grow than 15 seconds of "Jersey Shore," (although I do like the actual Jersey Shore...or used to before the show was popular.)

I teach English at a college, have had modest success as a filmmaker. I like cooking (also a sport0, like Thai, Vietnamese, Italian, German food amongst others. I enjoy playing scrabble, jigsaw puzzles (I'm up to 81 pieces) on my phone (if I am losing, I can simply launch a new game....It's a win-win), HATE action films and high speed car chases, have Mid-west values (I grew up there), love to learn about new cultures and travel. I lived in LA, but managed to emerge untainted. I write and am publishing some quirky works, am computer savvy and...did I mention....loquacious? I may be my best audience, but I have to say that if you find a quirky sense of humor funny, then you would laugh at the (at least some) things I say....that are least expected.

Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Social events, finding humor in situations that others do not, being a mother, being kind to animals, loyal friend, emotional support, and really good teacher because if a student is interested, I can change his/her life.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
