My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Music, food and dancing comprise my holy trinity. When I'm not cooking in a restaurant, I'm planning either a swing dance routine (working on 3 different ones right now), a dinner party (taco night soon!) going out swing dancing (I could ostensibly go every night to multiple venues) or updating my DJ set list. My life is actually pretty spectacular at the moment, but it's just missing one thing; someone to share it with.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I recently graduated from the Institute of Culinary Education in Manhattan, and am now doing my externship at The Heath in Chelsea. I also founded a dance company last year called The Big Band Theory Dance Company, which just put on its' first competition called Putting on the Blitz this past June. In addition, I DJ at a speakeasy called The Back Room for the jazz band Svetalana and the Delancey Five during their band breaks every Monday night. My 5 year plan is to open a restaurant in NYC in the style of the Savoy Ballroom circa 1940.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Swing dancing, cooking, intellectual conversations, event planning/organizing, making friends, being true to myself, making corny jokes that usually only I laugh at, being creative, being a birthday engineer.
