My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a fun, genuinely happy guy who loves to live and laugh and have as many adventures as possible! I love traveling (just went to Barcelona last October and fell in love with it), the great outdoors, and being a huge pop culture aficionado. I am renowned for my hugs, I am nearly always smiling and I aim to make those around me smile too! It's a good date if both of our cheeks are sore by the end of it (from smiling/laughing).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I recently graduated from the Institute of Culinary Education in Manhattan, and have just completed my externship at The Shakespeare Pub. I am the founder of Nerd-Herder Productions (nerd-centric party planning; have done Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Marvel), Big Band Theory Dance Company (where I organize outdoor social swing dances, in addition to competitions and myriad other dance events) and DNA Interactive Theater Company (we just had our first murder mystery production in March). In addition, I DJ at a speakeasy called The Back Room for the jazz band Svetalana and the Delancey Five during their band breaks every Monday night. My 5 year plan is to open a restaurant in NYC in the style of the Savoy Ballroom circa 1946.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Swing dancing, cooking, catering, intellectual conversations, event planning/organizing, making friends, being true to myself, making people feel at ease, making people smile, being inclusive, being creative, being a birthday engineer, kissing, massages.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Doug Hugs! I'm a die-hard hugger. I firmly believe in the healing power of hugs.

Food: Cheese and chocolate and everything in between. One of my favorite things to make is Beef Wellington. I'm also a sucker for game meat, like rabbit or venison.
