Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Stepped away from this site for a bit, and recently came to the
conclusion that maybe there IS something missing from my life after
all, so I'm giving it another shot. The profile below is a couple
months old, but it's still pretty much accurate. My hair is
shorter, and I've read a couple more books, but I'm still basically
the same person. I'll update it again eventually. ;-)
You know that kinda geeky girl from high school, who sat in the
back and was always kinda quiet, but you secretly thought was kinda
hot? Ever wonder what happened to that girl, all grown up?
Yeah, that's me.
I've grown into my skin a lot since then, and I know who I am and
make no apologies for it. Less quiet. Still bookish. Definitely
hotter. Still have a little bit of the absent-minded-professor
thing going on. I'm not very good with mundane things like, say,
mail. Or, apparently, dating. (Oops. I knew there was something I
was forgetting to do...)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
When I figure it out, I'll let you know. :-)
Meanwhile, I do web analytics and advertising tech. I'm pretty good
at it, and I generally enjoy it. So, it's working out until I
figure out how I'm going to go about saving the world. (Or just
taking it over. Haven't decided which yet.)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Karaoke. Not sure this is something to be proud of.

I am very expressive. People can generally tell how my day has been
by the way I'm standing or the expression on my face.

I like books. I read a lot. I pretty much always have. I could list
out a hundred favorite authors here, but most people's eyes would
glaze over. If you read SciFi/Fantasy, send me a note, and we can
geek out about books - if not, well, I can have interesting
conversations on other topics, too. ;-)
Most recent reads, in reverse order:
(Updated: Kate Daniels novels. Still working on The Signal and the
Noise. A crappy zombie book I didn't like much. Wool. )
The Name of the Wind. Various Sookie Stackhouse novels. Dune.
Gunmetal Magic. The Power Of Habit. Skinny Rules. Dragon Tattoo
series. Hunger Games series. Game of Thrones series. Honestly, GoT
took so long to read I've forgotten what I read before that.
I really don't watch much TV. Daily Show, Chopped, the occasional
home improvement show. Every now and then there's a good SciFi show
that catches my attention. BSG, Lost, Game of Thrones. Firefly, of
course. I'll watch anything Joss Whedon is involved in. Sitcoms
bore me. I don't see the point in crime dramas. I stopped watching
network tv a long time ago.
Recently watched through Doctor Who from the beginning and am now a
complete addict. This happens.
Musical taste varies wildly. I like almost everything. I do have
this weird habit of actually listening to the lyrics, which
sometimes makes me nuts because they're so dumb, or make no sense.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

form or another. Occasionally singing my heart out. Interesting

I really have no typical Fridays. I've been working so much the
last couple (6-8) months, I pretty much fell down exhausted on
Fridays. And then I went on vacation, and then I came back from
vacation, and life hasn't really leveled out again yet.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I will never lie about my age. It's a promise I made myself when I
was a kid, watching my older female relatives claim to be 29 for
decades. No one believed them, and it makes it look like you lose
worth as you get older. I've earned my years and I'm proud of them.
And I look damn good.
