I'm originally from Illinois, spent four amazing years in Iowa City
for college at the University of Iowa where I studied English and
Education for 6th - 12th graders. Four years ago I picked up my
life and moved across the country to live in Los Angeles with my
best friend. I moved there without a job, but I luckily landed a
Teacher Assistant job for middle-schoolers which turned into me
teaching middle school English for 6, 7, and 8th grade.

I like:

-Reading--Favorite book is Middlesex.
-Television-listed down below
-Music--I love discovering new music.
-Movies--listed down below
-Teaching--Discussing writing and literature with students is
like nothing else.
-Laughing until I can't breathe
-Writing--I write reviews for a couple of TV shows and am
starting to do some entertainment reporting. I've been writing personal essays lately.
-Pop Culture I soak up pop culture like a sponge.

I dislike:

-Text speak-u, ur, l8r, etc.
-People that take themselves too seriously (even if I can laugh at
their expense)
-pretentiousness
-religious hypocrisy

I'm teaching English to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. I write reviews for a couple of television shows a week and freelance write/report for other places.

Would love to write full time.

Over-analysis, writing, connecting to my students, recognizing guest stars from one television show to another, remembering pop culture facts, and giving relationship advice (ironically).
