I hale from the best state in the U.S., Minnesota, but have been living and working abroad for over 3 years now. I always wanted to do something in which I help and influence people, and education seemed to be the way to go. After teaching abroad for four years, I'm moving back to the States in June, ready to explore new career endeavors and possibly go to grad school. I'm a true nerd in the degree to which I love learning.
My style is a bit eclectic, and to be honest, I hate shopping and am a bit of a minimalist.
I'm a lover of knowledge, and one of my main goals in life is to travel and experience the world. When I'm visiting a place, I like to wander and just observe the way people live. It's about quality, not quantity, and that's one of the reasons why I couchsurf sometimes when I travel. After I move back to the U.S., I don't know how well I will cope with being detached from the ability to travel. Time will tell I guess.
When I have some free time (which isn't frequent enough), I like to go biking, walking the streets of Shanghai, playing sports (although I'm not really good), cooking, conversing, and of course, traveling. I'm always open to trying something new, too.
