Life's pretty good and overall I'm a happy girl, but my marriage, for reasons outside of my control, is sexless. I have a great family and I'll never leave them, but I'm too young to live without all the pleasures there are to be had physically. Bodies were made for such things. Laughter and lust are what make the world spin right on its axis.

Noticing life's quirks. And finding the humor in almost anything. And finding beauty in simple things.....like how words and music and what's around us come together.

Books - Maybe a TinTin treasury, Calvin and Hobbes, Death Comes for the Archbishop by Willa Cather (most anything by her, actually), the stories of Flannery O'Connor, Franny & Zooey by J.D. Salinger, Still Life with Woodpecker maybe? by Tom Robbins (a college fav), collection of poems by Guilliaume Apollinaire, short stories by Pushkin.

Movies - The Shawshank Redemption, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Princess Bride, You Can't Take It with You (Capra), Renoir's Beauty and the Beast, maybe a little Jacques Tati, Whistle Down the Wind, most Aldomovar, LoTR, I gotta admit, there are a bunch of things I'll curl up with my 9 yr old son and watch in a heartbeat cause he loves them, like Hellboy or Underworld.

Music - Classical guitar, Kate Bush, The Pixies, Kristin Hersh, The Kills, Emmylou Harris, The Debussy Danses, Ravel's Introduction and Allegro, Headlights, Nina Hagen, Kirsty MacColl, White Stripes, eels, Neko Case. I like bits and pieces of everything.

Food - dark chocolate, most anything sauteed in fresh garlic, fresh seafood, salmon on the grill, steak the way my dad used to grill it, the first bite of Thanksgiving dinner, raspberries from my yard...especially the white ones, a good cup of tea
