I am openminded, warmhearted, and curious.

My Self-Summary

I’m one of those native New Yorkers whose breath is still taken away at the sight of the Brooklyn Bridge. But I’m not New York-centric (oh, just a little bit.) I love to travel—Spain and Portugal are two of my favorite destinations. I definitely have disparate sides. I read the New York Times but love the Daily News (or used to, anyway). I listen to Dylan but dance to Prince. Faulkner is fun but so is a Yankee game. I believe in passion in all parts of my life and seek that out in my work and relationships. I am a warm, caring, open-minded person who is interested in other people. My other interests: Ladino literature, urban culture, Indy movies, jazz & rock, novels & memoirs, lakes & mountains (Catskills!), family & friends.

I would love to be with a man who is warm, compassionate, honest, intelligent, & sensual; someone who sees adventure in a long-term commitment; someone who is passionate and into exploring all aspects of a relationship (kind of like Henry Miller and Anais Nin); someone who has an appreciation of high and low culture--that means we can read Rilke’s poetry one moment and watch Seinfeld the next. We would both find conventionality boring.

What I’m doing with my life

I am at a point in my life where I see everything as a learning experience. Self-growth is key.

Oh yeah..what am I doing with my life? I work, hard, connect with friends, read, travel whenever I can, walk, contemplate the world...

I’m really good at

Listening, traveling into the unknown, analyzing just about anything.

On a typical Friday night I am

Wnding down from a hectic work week and looking forward to relaxing--either going out or enjoying time at home.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I hate doing the personals...but am addicted to answering the questions on Okay Cupid.

You should message me if

You feel that we have something in common and are serious about finding a long-term relationship.
