Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I’m one of those native New Yorkers whose breath is still taken
away at the sight of the Brooklyn Bridge. But I’m not New
York-centric (oh, just a little bit.) I love to travel—Spain and
Portugal are two of my favorite destinations. I definitely have
disparate sides. I read the New York Times but love the Daily News
(or used to, anyway). I listen to Dylan but dance to Prince.
Faulkner is fun but so is a Yankee game.
I believe in passion in all parts of my life and seek that out in
my work and relationships. I love being in my body, and doing
things that engage all my senses--touch, taste, sight, sound. I
enjoy exploring body movement like the 5 Rhythms. I love working
out on a regular basis and I am often on a bike or the elliptical.
Riding my bike around Brooklyn and walking city streets and country
trails gives me a lot of pleasure.
I am a warm, caring, open-minded person who is interested in other
people. My other interests: translating Ladino literature, urban
culture, Indie movies, annual pilgrimages to the New Orleans Jazz
Fest, novels & memoirs, family and friends.
I would love to be with a man who is warm, compassionate, honest,
intelligent, & sensual; someone who sees adventure in everyday
life; someone who is passionate and into exploring all aspects of a
relationship, someone who has an appreciation of high and low
culture--that means we can read Rilke’s poetry one moment and watch
Seinfeld the next. We would both find conventionality boring.
I am open-minded, warmhearted, and curious.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Being open to the possibility of change and growth...
Connecting with friends and family, having adventures, reading
novels, traveling whenever I can, walking the city streets,
journaling, moving my body.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening, traveling into the unknown, appreciating NYC,
appreciating life outside of NYC.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My friendly smile, deep brown eyes, silvery hair, dangling
earrings, La Font glasses and New York sensibility.
