My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm Allie: massage therapist by day, chocolate ninja by night!

I grew up in Maine (greater Portland area, woot!) and moved out here at age 20. It's interesting to me to think about the significance of that, as I feel like growing up in Maine is what gave me my core values, but my time in California has shaped me into a better version of myself than Maine ever could have. (Also, people who grow up in Maine and never leave have a tendency to become...hmm...miserable? Yes, that's the word. :P)

I'm polyamorous with my boyfriend of 12 years. If the concept is new to you, I can pretty much guarantee that it isn't as scandalous as what you're imagining. :P

Also, I have an old pair of jeans with knees that got torn years ago. My boyfriend tells me it's not the style anymore, but whatever -- they're comfortable. (Update: I threw them out today. Boyfriend: 1, Allie: 0.)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
...is taking pleasure in the little things, like long walks , chillin' with friends, playing games, snuggling, etc.. Basically, I'm a puppy.

I'm a massage therapist of over six years and I love how rewarding every session can be. A lot of the time I just help people relax, but every now and then I have these intense, challenging sessions that remind me exactly why I love what I do.
(Note: Don't ask me for a massage, please; I refuse to become a resource for someone who wants to date me. In return, I promise to not ask you to code for me, cook for me, fix my car, or *whatever* it might be that you do for a living. :)

I exercise 5-7 hours per week, splitting that time between the gym and a sweet outdoor trail near my work. I like that the gym has AC and all, but the outdoor trail has PUPS! :D Note: It's important to me that my partners be relatively fit or at least enjoy exercise, because I might want to go hiking with you sometime - among other things. ;)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
* Giggling about the same things a four-year-old would find hilarious!
* Eating!
* Massage!
* Making people and puppies feel comfortable -- or so I've been told, anyhow. (By the people, not the pups. The pups give me kisses, though, which I interpret as them being comfy around me.)
* Blaming myself for things that aren't my fault. (I'm working on this. :P)
* Making whoopie pies. MMMMMM.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I just tripped while I was walking. Twice. :P

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
...are the people in my life, chocolate, sunshine, a feeling of purpose, affection, and hot showers that make me feel all tingly.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
- bouldergeist!
- Puppies!
- Kitties!
- Food!
- Nice things I can do for my friends!
- Adventures I'd like to have!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Jogging after work! Drinking sake at home! Hosting a fondue party for friends! Going to see Godzilla for the millionth time! Thinking about meetings I need to have at work (boo)! Going out to dinner!

"Typical Friday night"? Pffft.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
...is that I work in the health field but am completely distrustful of anyone who refers to him- or herself as a "healer."

Also, I could probably eat an entire box of Oreos. I'm not *going* to do that. But I could. Just sayin'.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
...you're awesome, positive, and passionate about life!

Also, if you do message me, please gimme some indication that you've read my profile. "Hi how are you?" or other shotgun-approach messages will receive no response from me; I want fun conversation from the get-go. I'll totally do the same for you! :)
