My self-summary
This feels like a year-end job performance review. "Self-summary". (I'm re-writing this to mix things up.)

My mom used to sell Worldbook and Childcraft(remember when people had encyclopedias?). There was one volume that was called "Things To Make And Do". It was full of games and little projects. And I think that's what I like best. Things to make and do.

Which is a round-a-bout way of saying I'm an actor/musician/writer. Like Mikey says in Swingers, "we've all got stories..." right?

I perform at UCB doing improv and sketch. And do tv and commercials. And I write songs. And all that jazz.

Here's some more things for you to mull on...

I'm an identical twin. So when we meet, you will never know if it is me or him! Look at how instantly fun this is going to be already.

I love books. I mean, I don't sleep with them or anything. Just... I like reading. So if you are reading a good book--lemmee know, I need a new one!

And I love movies. (See? I'm not one of those I don't own a tv people, but I'm also a fan of print and books. I like to think I'm well-rounded.) And I love these old movie theatres in LA like the Vista(and the manager guy dresses up as a character from every new movie when it premieres? Yes!). I'm equal opportunity---I'll see some artsy snobby documentary and I will see some awful trashy thing too.(I'm looking forward to seeing Jaws at the Alex soon.)

And I like the outdoors... I wanna hit all the National Parks in CA and nearby... so far Joshua Tree and Yosemite are under my belt. (Going to Zion and Canyon country in October and very excited.) But there are so many more.... I have a tent--will travel!

And I like adventures. Choose your own... or ones you just happen to find yourself on...
What I’m doing with my life
I'm one of those annoying New Yorkers who constantly compare LA to NYC. I can't help it! Forgive me. I miss NYC. But you know what LA? I like how people actually say hi to you and smile at you on the street. Instead of the deadly stares of Gotham. Although, I kind of miss that too. Hah.
I’m really good at
figuring out a great present for someone, figuring out a great thing to do on a rainy day, and figuring out who the killer is before it's too late. (In a movie context.) (Also, I would like to think I could do this in real life too.)(I'm still alive! It's working!)
The first things people usually notice about me
I have some sideburns. They started out as laziness and they just grew on me. BOOM! Sideburn joke. (You loved it, you know you did.)(Okay, maybe it was a bit of a Dad joke.) No, but it's true. Although now, the sideburns have been tamed. Maybe I have thinking too much about when Bridget Jones says to Mark Darcy, "I think you should SERIOUSLY reconsider the length of your sideburns." Well... I have.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
*words*
My favorite author is William Goldman... he wrote The Princess Bride but there so many others too, don't stop there. He's got a lot of interesting non-fiction like one about the year he was a judge in Cannes AND Miss America Beauty Pageant.

I'm reading Game of Thrones because now HBO has me salivating for more. I love how just when you think you know how you feel about a character, WHAM, you change your mind and feel for that person you hated before.

*tunes*
My favorite musician is Elvis Costello(with or without the Attractions), but lately I've been falling for Sara Watkins. She's a bluegrass siren! Hmm... who else? Tom Waits](I drive by the Tropicana Hotel and think about him and Ricky Lee Jones, and old 70's LA)]. Sara Watkins has lead me to Blake Mills recently.

*grub*
I love me some Indian food, Moroccan, sushi, tacos, empanadas, arepas. Recent mini-obsession: PHO!

*pictures*
I enjoy taking in a double feature at the New Beverly. Or one of the old movie palaces like the Vista or the Alex. I'm trying to think what movies I loved this year so far... Wanderlust, the Five-Year Engagement, The Avengers, and Moonrise Kingdom.

*as my dad calls it, "the boob tube"*
me likey: utterly hooked on The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad... plus if you like Mad Men, 30 Rock, Modern Family, etc---we'll get along.

i also like reality shows where people have mad skillz. so that means American Idol, Top Chef, Project Runway, etc. Also, I slightly ashamed but I got sucked into the vortex of Bachelor/Bachelorette. Aaah!
The six things I could never do without
my iphone, my rickenbacker and acoustic, diet peach snapple, grilled cheese, and
hefeweizen.

also, i've become absolutely addicted to the Arclight. regular movie theaters just don't seem the same! but man, $16. youch! they really stick it to you. but, I enjoy the little silly speech they give before each movie. these people take pride in their work... I like that!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
why Bert the cat likes to eat clothing. it's a mystery that needs to be solved. i'm going to bait a trap for him soon. ordering supplies from Acme(the company that Wily E. Coyote used).

"Dare I eat a peach?" (But I feel like the answer is always yes. Bonus points if you know what this is from...)
On a typical Friday night I am
either going out for dinner or drinks with some friends or sitting at home catching up on tv and movies(i like to think of it as "homework") while pretending to write.

if you want to try lots of interesting dates because i still feel new to LA. i have a "funger"(hunger for fun). so i need a date to the observatory. To tramp around the snow at San Jacinto. and someone to go watch sea turtles be born. and find some food trucks in the middle of the night. and see the cheesy stage show at El Capitan before the next Disney movie comes out. there's a lot to do... i still haven't even had my first drive to Las Vegas! yeesh. also: where is that park they hang out at in 500 Days Of Summer? i wanna go there. let's go and i'll draw on your hand too. it's gonna be great.
