If I gave you the Cliff Notes, you would miss out on all the good
stuff, so you will just have to keep reading.

J'espere que vous pouvez lire Anglais, parce que mon Français est
terrible!
From 9-5, I am working hard so I can make it in NYC and travel the
world. Just a few of my adventures include swimming in the
Blue Lagoon
of
Iceland,
canoeing across
Canada's
Lake Opeongo, snorkeling in
Phuket, hiking
Kilauea on
Hawaii, climbing
the
Great Wall
of
China, ballooning
over
Barcelona,
and partying in
Ibiza.
Aside from working and travelling,
volunteering has been important to
me since I helped out the Red Cross for three years in college.
These days, I am active as a fundraiser and mentor to help
immigrants find jobs. I am also quite seriously working on a
business plan for an organization that I hope will change the
world. I have to believe it is possible. Especially after someone I
knew won the FT's Climate Challenge
(http://www.ft.com/climatechallenge).

apart from French, which got me kicked out of a Parisian cafe
faster than you can say "sandwich jambon".

disent que je devrais le parler plutôt que tuer votre langue.
I think most people's first impressions of me are deceiving. Even
my eyes have changed over the years from blue to green. While I may
appear conservative on the outside, upon deeper inspection you will
find that I try almost anything once and love to dance despite
being somewhat reserved. I may wear a suit and tie on occasion, but
I am not afraid to question authority.

Je suis un Americain, mais encore ils ne me detestent pas!
Food: Some of my favorite restaurants in NYC include Taboon,
Banjara, Blue Smoke, Sakagura, and Don's Bogam. Check out the
others in my reviews on Yelp: http://live2travel.yelp.com/
Music:
Trance and
Classical. I'm always trying to get my friends to go with me to
clubs and concert halls. For the past two years I lived between
Pacha and
Lincoln Center, but
I could never seem to meet many people who shared my musical
interests. That's ok, though. I love my music and you can love
yours. About as mainstream as I get would be
Depeche Mode or Garbage. If I had
to pick individual artists, my composers of choice would be
Tchaikovsky,
Haydn, and
Bach while my favorite DJs are
Tiesto,
Armin van Buuren,
Ferry
Corsten, as well as many others no one recognizes. I do travel
far for my music, as I've gone to Montreal's
Bal en Blanc, Miami's
Winter Music
Conference, and most recently the opening party at Space in
Ibiza. I'm also
starting to get into jazz, as I've really enjoyed a few venues in
the city ranging from Smalls to Dizzy's Club.
Movies: Memento, Princess Bride, Amadeus, V for Vendetta, The Life
Aquatic, Eternal Sunshine, and Hot Fuzz are all excellent but I
have about 250 other DVDs, too. I don't really watch TV, but I do
appreciate The
Daily Show, The
Colbert Report, and Lost. I miss
Firefly and the
British version of Whose Line is it Anyway.
Books: The Art of Travel, the Art of Happiness, and the Art of War
are all classics. Lately, I've been reading a number of historical
biographies ranging from Benjamin Franklin to Magellan to Genghis
Khan to Gandhi. I also enjoy humor and
philosophy once in a while. I find
the best books combine the two, such as those by
Alain de Botton... even
though he tried to hit on one of my friends on Facebook (true
story).

The erosion of our civil liberties. It's depressing... which is one
reason why I travel so much and try to help new people find the
American dream before those who are here forget what it
meant.

host a few movie nights as well, seeing as how I have a projector.
That also comes in handy for the Wii :)

I am actually looking for a long-term relationship. I know, it's
hard to believe for a guy but I am sick of dating. That does not
mean I will settle, though. If I wanted to find just any girl at a
bar, I would not be on here. I may just pick up and move abroad if
I don't find the right one soon.
I'm also open to pen pals. It never hurts to have friends in
faraway places.
