Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
This is the part where I tell you that I am optimistic, persistent,
honest, loyal, have a great sense of humor...yada, yada,
yada...blah, blah, blah. And though these things may be true in
describing me in varying degrees, it isn’t everything. I make
mistakes, have faults and quirks. However, I learn from my
mistakes, my faults make me normal and I hope you find my quirks
I enjoy the outdoors and try to find myself there as much as
possible. I like to run, hike and bike (need a new bike). I like to
walk and run many different parks and canals through the Denver
area. I camp, fish but I do not hunt. On the list of things I want
to start doing is kayaking (sea) and paragliding. I can toil away
in my yard or wonder in town looking for things and places I have
not seen before. I have taken to mud runs lately and just finished
the Spartan race in Colorado Springs in May. I ran the Merrell mud
run in last year. I had hoped to get to more events over the summer
but was unable to. I hope I can fit in more this year.
I am perpetually interested in almost everything. I enjoy a good
conversation, or a silly one, over wine, beer or coffee. I can
enjoy both a crowed and loud event and relaxing quietly someplace.
I find that I am always trying to learn something new. I am
currently working on the piano and speaking French. I enjoy cooking
and finding new recipes to try but admittedly this is less fun
without someone to cook with or for.
So, this has been my attempt to describe myself without using any
humor. I've had the funny profile before... It took me days to
write it because I was always laughing so hard, I had to take
breaks. But no one else laughs. Humor is hard enough because much
of it is based on timing, tone and pitch of voice, and people take
everything you say so seriously. It just doesn't translate well in
this place. Without really knowing someone, some humor is even more
difficult to get right. Dry humor and slight witty sarcasm for
