I am delightful, opinionated, and kittens!.

My Self-Summary

This is difficult as I am a complex person. Bunching the words "playful and childish" together with "serious and cynical" will only lead to confusion... Should I really attempt to make sense out of myself to someone who's never met me?

Anywho. Here are a few things, so you get a slight idea of me.

I am very curious and enjoy learning about the world as well as people - for this reason I love philosophy. Besides that, I would want to learn more about current events in the world, politics, and things in the realm of theoretical physics and astronomy. Also, I hope to pick up/improve skills such as cooking, photography, computer coding, and practical mechanics (haha). Some of my favorite activities include attending concerts, dancing, hiking, sitting outside, and exploring. The best thing in the world is to travel and experience different cultures. I am rather critical of almost everything superficial, and for this reason have little/no interest in television, celebrities, sports teams, cars, etc. Jesus christ, this is so boring. I should have suck with my last profile...

I'm usually not this serious.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm currently attending Case Western Reserve University (majoring in philosophy and cognitive science). I suspect that I will go to graduate school for something like cognitive neuroscience in not-cleveland upon graduation (somewhere between travel and working).

I’m really good at

According to my Leon, "being cute". (I suppose others agree, damnit.)

The first things people usually notice about me

My smiling visage and care-free spirit. (Although, please don't be mistaken by them.)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Authors: Hemingway, Hesse, Palahniuk, Salinger, Woolf

Books: Catcher in the Rye, Choke, Crime & Punishment, Damien, Franny And Zooey, The Importance of Being Earnest, Invisible Man, Mrs. Dalloway, Narcissus & Goldmund, Notes from the Underground, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Rant, Sidharthra, The Sun Also Rises, The Time Traveler's Wife, Walden

Movies: Allegro Non Troppo, Amelie, American Beauty, Birdman of Alcatraz, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Casablanca, A Clockwork Orange, Cool Hand Luke, Death Proof, Eternal Sunshine.., Grey Gardens, Hausu, The Innocents, Manhattan, Metropolis, Mulholland Drive, Pi, Pulp Fiction, The Royal Tenenbaums, Sunset Boulevard, Suspiria, Wall-E, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
-and in general anything 'witty', 'absurd,' or 'beautiful'

Music: Beck, Blonde Redhead, Bob Dylan, Dan Deacon, The Doors, The Fiery Furnaces, Figurines, Hot Chip, Joanna Newsom, Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen, Moby, Modest Mouse, Of Montreal, Pink Floyd, Pixies, Poni Hoax, Psapp, Regina Spektor, Russian Futurists, The Shins, Sunset Rubdown, Talking Heads, The Unicorns, Why?
-and in general 'indie', 'electronic', 'folk', 'classic rock', 'underground rap'

Food: Indian, Italian, Mexican, Middle Eastern

The six things I could never do without

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Human nature and the like.
My ignorant perceptions of the world, people.

On a typical Friday night I am

I'm not sure I have a routine?

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Clinical depression. That is, I've got the megrims. (See how this might conflict with section four?)

I probably don't like you, already... (God, aren't you dull? Insipid? Oh Lord!)

You should message me if

You have something interesting to say. If you have nothing to teach me, well, then what's the use, what's the use? (This is a partial reference to a song that no one will get, sigh, laugh).

Idle conversation bores me to death. I'm no good at it. And, no offense, I don't really feel like wasting my time talking to people with whom I have nothing in common (unless you're really amusing or ridiculous, which might be fun). For no reason other than the very purpose of this site.
