My name is Aidan, I'm a artist, student, FTM, and kind of a geek. Not obsessive in general, but there are a few series' that I really love. That's as basic as it gets.

I believe in being yourself. I believe in being polite. I believe that love is fluid. I believe that faith is fluid. I believe in letting go of your inhibitions once in a while. I believe in freedom. I believe in late nights and early mornings, but preferably not at the same time. I believe that you can have dinner in front of the TV without it being a TV dinner. I believe that reading a book is the best adventure that anyone can have. I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt. I believe that animals give unconditional love. I believe that hugs and kisses can make any day a little better.

I've also recently adopted a strong belief that no matter what happens, everything will be alright. Even if the world ends tomorrow, it'll be alright, for any number of reasons. Along with this, I've come to believe that everyone should try to do more than exist. Everyone should make an effort to do something, something that has an impact. I will not be my wasted life.

My world revolves around music. Not bands or singers or celebrities, but music. Sound. Instrumental, vocal, electronic, it doesn't matter. When I'm writing or drawing, I like to fit in music wherever I can. Sadly, I don't have a talent for making music myself. Instead, I'm studying to be an animator, which I am loving so far =)

My stance on drugs takes a bit more definition than OKC provides. I like to smoke, but don't. Occasionally hookah, but the point is that I don't want to get addicted. For other people, my attitude is "whatever, don't be stupid about it."

I'm currently attending the Arts Institute of San Diego, studying in the Media Arts and Animation major. While I'll likely do character design or concept design, and that would be completely awesome, I really want to draw comic books.

Speaking of which, a comic idea that's been brewing in my head for a few years now is finally getting off the ground. =D

I'm training myself to take better care of myself. I'm alright, as things are, but I could be better. You know, better diet, more exercise.

Being enthusiastic.
Baking. Go ahead, laugh. I know you want to.
Finding new and exciting things to be interested in.
Drawing.
Swimming.
Being really, really weird. Or so say my friends, but they're really weird too, so it's okay =)

You'd have to ask them. I don't really get a lot of comments on my looks or how I act in public. But the women in my family can't get over my hair. It's really thick, and they really like that for some reason. I find it a little annoying.

I have to be wearing something really noticeable for strangers to make a comment. Like, I once had these bright blue Oakley frames for my prescription glasses. *shrug*

BOOKS: Harry Potter series, Wicked (and following books), To Kill a Mockingbird, Lord of the Rings (still reading), Siddartha, Alice in Wonderland, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. A short list, I know, but I've read many books, few of which have really stuck. I certainly have a preference for fiction over non-fiction, and certainly a preference for fantasy, but if you ask me to read it, I'll at least check it out. I love learning new things.

MOVIES: Labyrinth, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Pan's Labyrinth, Princess Bride, O Brother, Where Art Thou, Love Actually, Repo! The Genetic Opera, The Bucket List, Freddy vs. Jason, Watchmen, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Dark Knight, Wrath of Khan, Fight Club. And that's just off the top of my head. As with books, I'll try just about anything. Whether I end up liking the movie all that much is up to chance.

TELEVISION: House M.D., Mythbusters (and other Discovery shows), NCIS, CSI (Las Vegas and New York, not Miami), Dexter, and Star Trek: TOS. Besides those, anything that sounds interesting while channel surfing.

MUSIC: My favorite bands are Cat Empire, Gorillaz, Flogging Molly, Green Day, Cloud Cult, Abney Park, Vitamin String Quartet, Good Charlotte, Ani Difranco, and I'm increasingly loving the Killers. I also have favorite songs from various artists/bands that don't make it to my favorites list. Like, I really love "On the Radio" by Regina Spektor, "Barely Listening" by Pilot Speed, "Boys and Girls" by Blur, and "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz. I think I'd really like to meet someone I can sing love songs to. As before, I'll try any song you throw at me.

FOOD: My tastes lean towards oriental cuisine, but I'll try just about anything. I don't really have all that much of a preference, but my favorite snacks are meat buns (it's an Asian thing), dill pickles, and martini olives (without the martini).

Besides the obvious of food, air, and water...

Drawing supplies.

My "life plan" aka my major goal for life. What will validate me in my own eyes. These things are, in no particular order: raise a child, fall in love, create or participate in a popular comic book series, and live in France for a few years.

I also think about how amazing the world is.

And sex, but what person doesn't?

On my computer, at home. Possibly doing homework, but more likely surfing the net. I live out in the mountains, so there's not much to do on a Friday night.

I dunno... My dream is to be in a polyamorous relationship-thing with a few close friends of varying genders? Plus children.
