I moved to Alexandria VA about two years ago. I haven't been on this site much in a while. I pretty much dropped off the face of the earth for a while there, or at least that is what some would think. Some things have changed! Best friends have scattered for grad programs in various far-flung locales and I need to rebuild a network of great people...

Anyone who has something totally figured out in this section of their profile makes me uneasy.

Favorite Books, in no particular order : Sophie's World, The Poisonwood Bible, Watership Down, Peter Pan, Gone With the Wind, The Wind In the Willows, Les Miserables, The Chronicles of Narnia, Redwall, The Tale of Despereaux, Harry Potter, The Lovely Bones, Interpreter of Maladies, Read The Help and that was pretty great... until I started feeling weird about the fact it was written by a white woman.

Movies: Casablanca, Beauty and the Beast, Gone With the Wind, It Happened One Night, The Quiet Man (ok, just say this: if it's on TCM or if Disney had any hand in it, I am probably a fan.) Guilty Pleasure: The Proposal. I don't even know how many times I have seen this movie.

TV: The Office, How I Met Your Mother, GLEE, Castle

Food: I could eat Indian every day of my life and never be tired of it.
My current food obsession is this delicious salad: baby spinach, chopped walnuts, strawberries, and feta tossed with Paul Newman reduced fat honey mustard dressing. It sounds weird, but the honey mustard is not the kind you are thinking of... i was also wary, but now a believer. Just try it.

My phone. (this is really sad, i know. my entire life is on that damned thing. please don't judge me... i'm just being honest.... sigh.)
