My Self-Summary
I am an artist and teacher who has lived in the bay area for the
past 7 years. I am a reportedly smart gal who loves to think and
talk through ideas. My roots are east coast but after living in the
midwest and abroad for the bulk of my 20's the Manhattan attitude
has pretty much evaporated. I have a very close circle of friends
to whom I am immensely loyal and lucky to have. We have seen each
other through a lot of malarky, life nonsense, heartache, and joy.
I more or less believe we create our own happiness, aka. I try to
keep it positive. Lest I sound like an unrepentant cheerleader I
have struggled and fought my own demons along the road.
What I’m doing with my life
I recently opened an art space/gallery/crazy fun house in north
oakland. It is the culmination of years of thinking maybe one
day...so it's pretty exciting to have it happening in real time. I
spend a lot of time making art, taking pictures, reading, writing,
and watching anything by joss whedon.
I’m really good at
making my goals turn into reality. Or realizing my goals are never
going to happen, and embracing what is going on.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have an energetic way of being. I have an unusual way with
language. I have a big camera that looks like an antique, its not.
I wear boots, and I have cat hair on my coat.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
The books I read the most recently are Dreamside, Intuition (a hard
science caper), Never let me go, and something by Ray Bradbury. I
just saw District 9 and really loved it. As far as food... I love
food and am certainly happy we need it to live. korean, sushi,
italian all make me happy. Big shout out to all things pickled. My
favorite show ever is Buffy the Vampire Slayer and I will leave it
at that.
The six things I could never do without

I spend a lot of time thinking about
people. My new art space. dreams. ghosts. animals. books to read,
books I just read.
On a typical Friday night I am
at a dinner party, at the movies, driving to somewhere else,
or.....
