Cooking. I don't like to follow recipes very exactly so that means I don't bake, but anything else I can probably make.
I'm a pretty good singer. I took lessons/was in some sort of singing group from the age of 10 to 22. It makes me happy.

The first things people usually notice about me
i really have no clue but sometimes creepy/sweet old ladies at the
bus stop comment that I have very pretty eyes. One time such a lady
was coming back from a wake.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books
Monsters of Templeton, Harry Potter , Chronicles of Narnia, Middlesex, Jane Austen novels because they are great for traveling, e.e cummings writing, day of the triffids, The Stand (blame my dad for those two, I have a definite love of the apocalypse), Tender At The Bone, Anthony Bourdain's books, I have several biographies hanging around that I have started and never finished.
Movies/TV
28 Days Later, Undercover Kitty, Harry & Tonto, Grey Gardens, Mad Men, Lost, Gossip Girl, 30 Rock, The Office, Entourage, I'll watch independence day every time it's on tv. Friday Night Lights (I would even consider getting direct tv just so I can watch it before next summer, but I'll probably just find it online first), Weeds, I just finished watching all of freaks & geeks.
Music
Lily Allen, Jason Mraz, Elliott Smith, Jamie Cullum, Damien Rice, Ben Folds, really liking Lady GaGa right now...I'm not a music snob at all, clearly--I went to the Spice Girls concert last year and am not ashamed.

On a typical Friday night I am
hanging out with friends---either at a bar,a movie, restaurant, a
party or cooking dinner for them. Pretty much anything that you can
possibly do on a Friday night I'll do. I like to be around my
friends having fun. But I'm also pretty happy to just hang out with
my dog alone in the park.
