My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I decided this thing needed to be spruced up. Plus, let's be honest, who doesn't like getting a makeover every once in a while?

I'm unsure about the whole meeting someone online thing, but it seems to be working for people so I figure it's worth a shot. I think of myself as pretty independent/self sufficient and I have a tendency to be sarcastic. I like cooking, baking, watching movies, traveling, snuggling, eating good food, reading, skating, driving fast, working with kids, road trips....

There's probably more, but what fun would it be if I told you everything now?

By the way, it's great if you like to smile/laugh/have a good time. If you didn't I'd be worried about you. It's also good if you like going out but can easily enjoy a night in. That pretty much covers the spectrum of choices for a person's possible whereabouts.
If your profile says any of these things I'm not judging you....too much lol. Up until about 5 seconds ago mine did :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I originally went to school to be a math teacher. Finding a full time job is challenging and in the meantime I've done everything from dogsitting to tutoring to babysitting to working in a preschool! I'm back in school working on a human resources degree. Apparently I'm on the Van Wilder time table when it comes to college lol. I recently started subbing in a Long Island school district and that's keeping me plenty busy while I finish school and continue my job search!

Within the past couple of years I've visited parts of Europe and Israel and discovered that I really like to travel. Visiting Santorini is high on my travel wish list!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
cooking/baking, entertaining 3 year olds, math, skating, trivia, naming that tune
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My height. Or that I'm really talkative.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I don't think there's enough room on this page to list them all, so I'll limit it to the absolute necessities...

Music: I'm a really big Springsteen fan. Something Corporate. Jack's Mannequin. Mumford & Sons. Joshua Radin. The Lumineers. Fun. Also, I really like going to concerts. I have absolutely no musical talent but am very impressed by those who do.

Movies: My favorite movie of all time is How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days. I also really enjoyed Friends With Benefits. I definitely have a weakness for chick flicks but can enjoy most things from comedy to action to horror.

TV: I love tv on dvd and am almost always marathon watching one show or another. My favorites shows are Beverly Hills 90210 Brothers and Sisters, Weeds, ER, Shameless, Nurse Jackie, Chicago Fire, Parenthood, Third Watch, Rookie Blue, to name a few.

Books: I love to read when I have the time. I will pretty much read anything by Kristin Hannah, Jodi Picoult, Sophie Kinsella, Jane Green, or Emily Giffin. I love all the funny expressions the British authors use.

Food: Chicken Marsala. Chicken Parm. Pizza. Pretty much anything Italian. Chinese. Chipotle. I also really enjoy cooking so I'm always trying to come up with my own good recipes.
The six things I could never do without

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
the future
my dreams (not in a deep philosophical sense....as in when i first wake up. isn't it great when you wake up and there's still time to lay around/day dream?)
what i need to get done
meeting someone
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
hanging out with friends/watching movies/babysitting
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I didn't get my ears pierced until I was 23 because I've always been too scared to do it.

I attempted to write a book once, but it's still not finished. I don't know how private that is, but interesting perhaps?
