My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
i'm on a hiatus in the battle for love. trying to rediscover fun and a little depravity. looking for love is the best way not to find it and i'm trying to be fine with that. so here goes.

i don't fit in a box. i'm a middle school teacher and follow politics but i find phrases like "social justice" empty. and i blast rock n roll, more and more noise - oh now, louder!
i like watching football and going to the theater. i drop GRE vocab words and street slang in the same sentence. i work out at a boxing gym and i write fiction (some poetry) too. i'm a good cook but the least picky eater you will ever meet. i enjoy staying at home but want to live afar (and have - NYC to southern Africa).

oh and convenience is overrated - which is why i have no car, no microwave and no smartphone.
and i prefer grimy locations to clean ones.

i'm up for almost anything. especially drinks, dancing or a stroll in the park. i'm also hoping to meet more local artist friends.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
teaching by day. eating/sleeping by night. handball and depravity on the weekend. playing writer. thinking it over.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
attending your gig or show or whatever event is in your honor. having a response for that. oh, and hand-washing laundry.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
maybe my youthful good looks. but i'm more interested in things rarely noticed.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
NOISE. death and danny brown. anything iggy (pop) too.

chinatown. the big lebowski.

orange is the new black. veep.

anything by graham greene. and probably some horrible textbook (ugh).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
i'm a survivor: food, water, shelter, air and a friend. a match might be useful too.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
how i can make this sandwich more delicious. and how to stay true to my principles (cause the world is always trying to break them).
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
maybe the gym. meeting up with friends.
or else writing, followed by a drink.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
i want to meet artist friends a lot! but, yeah, i'm also pretty much here for casual dating. looking for love online depresses me, so that's it. at least i'm honest.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
- you are a cool local artist. i'm really trying to get more involved with that, so if you know of any good happenings, want me to check out your show or wanna read my stuff, let me know.

OR on the other front (and just being up front):
- you want a cute white guy to be your dog.
