My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am returning to Chicago after spending 26 years in the Pacific Northwest. Yes, I do still have my Chicago accent attached to some words and, yes, I will open the door for you, kiss the top of your hand, and bring you a rose. It is called "Romance". Not even the rugged Pacific Northwest can purge romance from an Italian. Someone once told me romance should be listed under religion.

No, I am not looking to be Joe Dating and go out every night with a different woman. Those days are over. Actually, I don't think that I ever experienced that phenomenom. Seems a bit awkward. One would need a database just to keep track of everyone. No thanks. Instead, I am looking for my friend. The person I can share things with, trust, talk to, listen to, enjoy time with, do everything and sometimes do nothing. I want to watch our relationship grow.

Over the 26 years there, I have done quite a few things, taken on challenges and enjoyed just about everything that the Pacific Nortwest had to offer. One thing I missed out on was trying cross country skiing. That being said, I am as active as can be, but always do things in moderation. You get more enjoyment when you spread things out a bit. In doing so you have some energy left at the end of the day to enjoy, well, each other! There is so much more, but we will have to cover that over the phone, or dare I say, in person!?

Some of my favorite sayings:

I have given up trying to be perfect and have left that to someone else! Best of luck.

I would much rather be accurate then right.

Just because it's right, doesn't mean it's ethical.

And last but not least, drum roll please:

Give yourself to the Dark Side......
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
living it, loving it, wanting more of it and starting a new chapter. Have just ended a 20 year marriage and been on my own for over 2 years now. The past has been shelved, the corner turned, heading down a new path, and last but not least, spreading my wings and flying high! Not wanting to do this alone. Care to join me?

Just completed a refresher course on DSLR photograpy. Wow! Informative and then some. Will make for much better pictures in the future. One thing that I have learned is the best pictures are taken when the person being photographed has no idea the picture is about to be taken. If you hear the click, if you hear the shutter, it is too late. You have been digitized. Of course there was that time the camera was discovered before the deed was done. Everybody ducked and hid their faces. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Oops, my bad.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Fixing things. Love to tinker, use my hands (curb your thoughts and behave, or not, your call!) , solve problems, and stimulate my thought process. Making people laugh and getting them to feel comfortable is my specialty.

Kissing. Yes. We Italians have a kiss for everything. Just ask Fredo.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes. Something about Bambi. Oh yeah and speaking of Bambi, if he doesn't stay out of the roses, I'm gonna have Rocco do a badda bing on him. I love the wild life, but leave the roses alone.

Sure are asking for a lot of info here.
Books: Sometimes technical, sometimes humor, sometimes politics, sometimes military, and the occassional criminal mystery.

Yes I do watch some TV. Oh how sinful! Of course I have a Wii. Don't you? Love the workout programs. Especially enjoy them on rainy days. Last time I saw the sun, I felt a need to sacrifice something to thank the gods for letting me know the sun still existed.

Movies: Last one seen was Argo. And I got the biggest kick out of "How to Train Your Dragon". Yes, I enjoy Star Trek. Spock uses his hand to do a mind meld, i use my lips on your neck. My technique works better.

Theater: I have attended the Phantom of the Opera and Wicked. I had no idea how much fun and entertaining it would be. May I have more please?!

Food: Do I really need to answer this one? Okay. Italian, then Thai, followed closely by teriyaki and sushi. Wasabi!

Music: Can't do heavy metal. Makes me howl. Anything else is open to listening and rating. Chicago, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, ZZ Top ("She's Got Legs". Do you?), Eagles, Heart are a few of my favorite things...but the list is much longer.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
You, my cats, chocolate covered caramels and strawberries, all 4 seasons, snow in the winter and my camera.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What is it going to take to calm the world and subdue this storm that it is engulfed in. Go ahead, put me in charge. I dare you...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out and about looking for someone like you. If I have already found you, then I will be out and about with you, or in and about with you. I guess you could say that it is all about you. Clubbing is not for me. I would rather go see a movie or anything else that we would both enjoy.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I was in law enforcement once upon a time in a galaxy far, far, away.
