I guess I am not so easy to know, being a shy sort, but I try to be worth the effort. I am always at a loss for words about myself... I am self-aware, seasoned with life's learning. I claim credit for being focused on self-development rather than self-promotion. (I cringe in the face of the myriad profiles that seem self aggrandizing) I am a human being, I have flaws, I have made mistakes and had successes. I subscribe to the philosophy of "heads I win, tails I learn"

Enjoying it... while working as a semi-retired single man. Now thinking a partner in work, play and life is what I really want.
I am in pretty good health, doing something I like to do, and have carved out an enjoyable little niche to share with someone who appreciates simple pleasures.
I am not wealthy, and have to work in my "retirement", but I am lucky enough to have a trade that i enjoy, and which rewards me.

I have been alone for a while, after a long term relationship (12 years). I honestly had sworn off "romance" and abandoned the desire for intimate companionship. As a result of some poignant online experiences in the last year or so I have become increasingly aware of how much I miss and need that...for real.

Honestly, I am out of the "recovery" phase of a lost relationship at this point, and am now fully available for friendship and to what could follow from honest communication and shared interests and experiences.
