My Self-Summary
If adventure is the spice of life then call me
Bhut Jolokia. Extra points for
you if you didn't need to Wikipedia that, and even more points if
you DID wikipedia that, and it started you off on a random wiki
adventure for at least an hour where you learned 7 different new
things. Its rather weird to write an essay describing myself,
because for some reason i have this picture in my head of an old
man bragging about his wealth and accomplishments to a group of
twenty somethings in a club. Oh and if you are one of those twenty
somethings that actually ends up with those old men, then please
move on to another profile:-)
Public Service Announcement: You don't need to tell the
world that...
I am attractive/A model/I go the the gym 5 times a week: People are
going to make their own decision about how slim/toned/appealing
they find you. You can't logic them in to thinking you're
pretty.
I like hanging out with friends: Everyone likes hanging out with
their friends. Try using your profile to talk about what makes you
different from the rest of your gender.
I hate drama: Normal people just don't need to say this. Anyone who
broadcasts to the world that they hate drama is really saying
they're a drama magnet.
Why you are on okcupid: Yeah, we get it, you're too cool for the
internet. You're only on here because of your sister/best
friend/cat made you sign up...
I'm down to earth: okcupid is not a celebrity dating site, so you
can't score points for not being arrogant and full of yourself.
What I’m doing with my life
Work at a Russian language TV station, and setting the stage for a
grandiose internet business (it's good to have goals). I'd tell you
what the internet business is all about, but i hang out with smart
people, and smart people steal ideas :-) Also, i like to get into
random shenanigans, be outdoors, watch mind numbing reality
television and be very "tourist-y" around NYC.
I’m really good at
Stuff that involve one thing strapped to each leg - ice skating,
roller blading, skiing, etc. Not a big board person:-D Trying to
learn random magic tricks, knowing way too much stuff on "trivia
night", ice hockey, picking hangout spots (I'm the "organizer" for
my group of friends)
The first things people usually notice about me
People tell me i look like a random Baldwin brother. I'm also a
good conversationalist, so don't be surprised if withing 3 seconds
of meeting me we start talking about growing up in communist Russia
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Catcher in the Rye, 1984, a bunch of OJ Simpson books
(obsessed with that as a kid), Crime and Punishment, Oblomov,
Beatles biography, magic and hypnosis books, Sherlock Holmes
collection.
Movies:Easy Rider, Edward Scissorhands, Never Die Alone, 400 blows,
pulp fiction, Heat, Spiderman 2, Brat 2, Ice Harvest, Phone Booth,
Midnight Cowboy, the Pink Panther series, Safety Last, Usual
Suspects, Taxi (french version), American Psycho, Butterfly Effect,
Star Wars, Empire. I also am a fan of terrible terrible movies
cause they are SOOO much fun to watch - Sci Fi originals, You Got
Served, Taxi (american version), Ghost Ship, Biker Boyz, Torque, 2
Fast 2 Furious, XXX, Empire. My local game store knows me as "the
dude that loves to buy shitty discount movies".
Music: This is a tough one, for me, every type of music has its own
appropriate mood and setting. That being said, i can truly say i
listen to everything.
Food: chinese, mexican, russian..... heck just about every ethnic
food variety. But there is one thing that trumps it all - the
greatest american contribution out there - BBQ!~!!!
The six things I could never do without
6? Well, it says "things", not people, and there aren't that many
"things" that my life would suck without. But if i had to list 6
"things", they would be.
1. Shoes - in random climates and conditions - people need shoes to
stay comfortable and not hurt themselves.
2. Communications infrastructure - i like to communicate:-)
3. Fire - for cooking things
4. Refrigeration - for storing things
5. Condoms - they just make life more fun
6. Modern medicine - because the plague is bad
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The meaning of life, new and cool ideas. I have an overactive
imagination, and i like to write down what i come up with in my so
called "idea book". I love my idea book:-)
On a typical Friday night I am
is there such a thing as a "typical" Friday night anymore? I'm
always doing something different, but the one constant is that it
almost always involves my friends or family and some sort of
shenanigans.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
As a kid i didn't cry when Bambi's mother got shot. But i cried a
waterfall at the end of Terminator 2 when the Terminator killed
himself, and gave one last thumbs up!
You should message me if
You stand out, can talk about random topics for hours, or can hand
me a few losses in Street Fighter.
Or if your first message is in Haiku form
