My self-summary
I grew up in the Bay Area, moved away for awhile, but now I'm back for good. I love animals, but more importantly, I love to teach others about how to respect and love their fellow critters. And yes, I still eat meat.

I'm not much of a sports fan, but I will never turn down a Giants game.

I take pictures. All the time. Of everything and anything. My skill level is something I'd like to work on, but I do love the click of the shutter.

I'm also very environmentally conscious. You'll never EVER catch me with a disposable bottle, fork, or plastic bag. With that said, I try to keep my soapbox under control.
What I’m doing with my life
I work part-time (but many, many hours!) with animals and the public. I love talking about the environment and how everyone can do a small part to make a big difference. I eventually would like to do this forever, but for more money and full-time.

I'm also on a 'deepen my personal relationships' kick, which means I'm trying to spend more time with my close friends.
I’m really good at
Talking to people. No, that's not a bullshit answer. I give presentations at work and finding ways to make some pretty gross, sad, or complicated concepts accessible to all ages is something I pride myself on. Basically, I'm really good at turning myself into a complete and utter idiot in front of 50 people so they get why it's important to recycle.

On a more tangible level, I'm a good gifter and can untie any knot.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Grapes of Wrath, Solar Storms, the Harry Potter series, and The Lorax

Forrest Gump, Finding Nemo, Little Miss Sunshine

Modern Family, The Mentalist

Thai, Japanese (sustainable seafood only!), Mexican. Anything quick and healthy I can make with lots of veggies. In'n'Out is a guilty pleasure, but I don't indulge that often. On the opposite end of this spectrum is Indian; it's the only type large category of food that I have tried and just cannot enjoy.
The six things I could never do without
A job that I love
A camera
The ocean
My pet (what is it, exactly? message me to find out!)
Friends
Family
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I'm going to leave my impact on the world. Making this blue dot on the map a better place is very important to me, and I'm often trying to dream up new ways to make that happen. This spans from what my next career move will be to how to get SF to ban plastic drinking straws (I know, not going to happen for awhile...).
On a typical Friday night I am
There really is no 'typical' here... I might be out with friends, or watching a movie cozied up on the couch, or helping to run a sleepover with 30 high-strung kiddos who won't go to sleep at work. It's a gamble.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Growing up on the top of a very steep hill + having the worst sense of balance in the world = I never learned how to ride a bike. There. I said it.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 21–33
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You enjoy cozying up on the couch with your date and a cheesy movie just as much as you do getting dressed up and painting the town. You should absolutely message me if the above is true and the natural world is important to you and want someone to explore it with.
